Faber will never let a coach take over the camp though. The type of coaches they allow will not be permitted to have total control

He will have to accept a role where he's more of a mentor than anything else. Not sure who that person would be but it is what it is. I don't blame Faber for having that attitude since he started the camp himself from scratch

Brown just gets better when he gets hurt but yea I hope his body doesn't shut down from those wars he had. I just hope both fighters head down to Mexico early to get acclimated, 5 round war !!!!

Rewatching Condit vs Kampmann, weird that was Kampann's last fight. Crazy

I also don't know why they gave Condit a title shot over Woodley, I just thought about how Woodley has a better case for sure
 
Woodley probably got skipped over cause he lost his #1 contender fight against Rory. Then Dana went on a rant saying Woodley chokes in big fights.

Plus Woodley hasn't been asking for a title shot until talk of Condit getting the shot came up. He's been talking about wanting Hendricks cause he supposedly cheated during a NCAA wrestling match.

So what #1 contender match did Condit win?

Woodley went on to beat Kim and Gastelum.. and actually Woodley has been asking for a title shot for a while

Condit hasn't won a #1 contender match. Just saying that was probably UFC's reasoning for things. Plus they probably think Condit/Lawler is a better seller than Woodley/Lawler.

But I haven't really seen Woodley ask for a title shot recently. I know for a long time he's been asking for Hendricks. He even posted pictures of Hendricks fish hooking him.
 
The reasoning is weak though if it's true since like you said, Condit hasn't won a #1 contender fight and lost to Woodley to begin with (injury or not)

Beating Kim + Gastelum>beating Alves

But hey, it's a great title fight regardless
 
The UFC don't give a dam anymore

They want to sell PPVs and get ratings. Their gonna make the fights they believe that will accomplish that
 
Lawler is also his training partner at ATT so that probably plays into why Woodley chilled on asking for a title fight.


Condit definitely didn't earn his shot but whatever, it'll be interesting I guess

Good point, there was an article from a year ago about that possibility and Woodley said it would just have to happen and shake hands after

All along Woodley has been adamant about getting a shot and Hendricks was just his step getting there. Condit wasn't really in the realm of being the #1 contender therefore Woodley's thinking wasn't even on Condit, especially since he beat him already. The thought was that Hendricks would get the shot and that's why Woodley was calling Hendricks out so much. I'm sure if he knew Condit would get it he'd be much more vocal
 
Yall know that woodley don't even train at the same att gym, he's at a different one. He made the change while back when there was the poss of fighting Lombard

Does that mean Diego now ties KenFLo with fighting in 4 divisions?

That's has the UFC record right.

And only person I think fought in more overall is BJ at 5. But some were outside the UFC

Any of you brahs know of anyone who fought in more?

He should've hung it up a while ago but getting gifted a few decisions prolonged his career.

And holy crap at Rhonda doing 1 million buys on that weak card. Did we ever get numbers for the Mendes/McGregor card? That's crazy that 190 did better than McGregor/Mendes and Lawler/McDonald.

Rhonda is definite their biggest star. Everyone was talking about the fight going in and after.

Cyborg (14-1, 1 NC) said Rousey should move up to fight her at 145 or 140, because Rousey has beaten every other contender in her division already. She did not mention making 135 pounds once on ESPN.

"All the champions do this when you clean your division," Cyborg said. ... "The champ goes up."

Rousey (12-0) has continued to harp on Cyborg's failed test for steroids four years ago. She said again over the weekend that if Cyborg can make 145 pumped full of performance-enhancing drugs, then she should be able to make 135 without them.

Cyborg, whose real name is Cristiane Justino, maintains that she is clean after multiple tests recently.

"She cannot say anything about my doping," Cyborg said. "It was 2011. I have passed six tests and the same exams she's doing, because we're in the same organization now.

"I don't think it's right she can say something she cannot prove."

On SportsCenter, Cyborg promised a "different" kind of fight if she and Rousey lock up.

"You'll see," Cyborg said. "Violence."

"I'm ready for this fight for a long time," Cyborg said. "But if it don't happen now, it wont happen. If the UFC want to make this fight happen, they can make it happen. Tomorrow, I would take this fight. I'm ready."
