I don't hate Paige, but everyone saw this *** whooping coming a mile away.

Danawas so thirsty to make ole girl a star, he threw her to the wolves hoping she could pull something out so he could fast track her, and she got ate. Poor thing

But she really needs to get better, she got by on her looks. Now that she has been exposed, hopefully this is a wake up call for her.

Cause she can't allow herself to get washed like that again.

Rose wasn't Paige's original opponent

It was a big step up but it's not like rose was 10 years older, they're two years apart. Rose has had more fights but nothing crazy

It was worth the chance. Paige should be able to come back from this

Not saying his wind didnt get knocked out of him but typically that doesnt effect long term stamina. In my experience anyway

Id say short notice had alot more to do with it than that. The cardio needed to compete at that level is other worldly

Because she wasn't marketed as being a contender. The talk before was "is this too big a step for Paige?"

She's touted as being an up and comer who is extremely marketable due to her looks

So in other words she's being pushed because of something having nothing to do with her actual skill in the cage. That's the definition of manufactured to me bruh. None of that marketing lasts unless you win fights.

She has been winning though, until this fight. She's young and talented. You expect the ufc not to market one of their most marketble female fighters when people barely know any of the female fighters?

Thug Rose put on one hell of a fight last night. I'm glad she was able to expose Paige because she's definitely getting the first class rub by the UFC. What made it sweeter was that she came out to my fav Run The Jewels song

Chad got 2 weeks vs. Rose's 5 weeks, that's not insignificant. Rose was much closer to having a full camp.

She has been winning though, until this fight. She's young and talented. You expect the ufc not to market one of their most marketble female fighters when people barely know any of the female fighters?

That's all good I'm cool with marketing your young talent, but when I hear much more about her from Dana and crew than I hear about the champ who's legitimately a beast, and mainly because she's hot, that's when it gets goofy to me man. But like I told Vincent, who knows, financially it might even make more sense for them, but it still irks me when I see them playing favorites that way.

Hes following the boxing model, finding young fighters with potential and grooming them, feeding them cans, getting there confidence up giving them winnable fights (not 50/50 fights), lining em up for a title shot then letting em sink or swim.

but its backfiring.......this aint boxing, MMA fans are way more invested than boxing fans, we see through the BS that boxing promoters can get through.....


you cant "force" a fighter to be a champion, they have to go through the fire just like everyone else, going through a murderers row to get a TS is a part of the process of making a true champion.....you get these guys/girls with these pre-carved out paths to an easy TS and then they crumble....

Except Conor actually earned his shot, unless you're claiming Frankie got screwed (which I believe Frankie had a good case too)

But yeah Dana BEEN making the money fights. That's what prize fighting is. He has done a DECENT job OVERALL. There have been some head scratchers but also some REAL contender ladder building. It's not like in the past 10 years he's been making endless matches that make no sense. In terms of the future we will see. He's done the right thing at 125, 135, 145, 155, 170 and 185 for the most part

A bigger point to everything is the media. The media does a lot of free promotion for the UFC and that plays into the "hype" that we see with all of these new faces

dana is a jackass and will always have his favorites. When Carla was champ rbk signed PVZ to a deal and not her. I would blame rbk for that though since the ufc said they would take care of Carla. Paige is still so young and already ranked #7.

I believe JJ has a Reebok deal. Carla didn't deserve a deal 

 plus that isn't the UFC's call

If i looked at those succession of wins in that division WITHOUT knowing it was conor, I would laugh if someone told me that warrants a title shot on aldo...especially not fighting mendes, llamas, frankie, or cub.
