Jds gon ko overeem easy imo

Diaz Johnson is a good fight, Johnson gotta stay composed and fight how he usually does, fast combos, footwork, use more kicks too.

What a sick fox card and the cruz dillashaw free too...

I have a distinct feeling Johnson gonna be too elusive for Diaz. Diaz gonna get frustrated.. There's no need for Johnson to stay and trade with Nate. I hope it isn't a boring fight tbh
 
He should fight Frankie in April.

Aldo should fight Holloway.

And they can set themselves up for either an Aldo rematch or a move up to 155 at UFC 200.

So the opposite of what Conor's coach said.

I'm obviously an Edgar fan. But Aldo rematch and 155 fight are probably more marketable.

I am also an Aldo fan. But I'm sorry. Cain didn't deserve a rematch. Neither does Ronda.

It's hard for me to make a case for an immediate for Jose after the 1 hitter quitter.

We gotta draw the line somewhere :lol:

After the Weidman fight, I remembered the Embedded. Dude has a 3 month old son. So that baby was born RIGHT as he was going to camp.

Unless he upped and left his fam for camp, it's hard to believe that didn't effect him. I got kids. First 3 months are usually miserable.
 
I think Holloway v Aldo is too big of a jump

He needs to fight Edgar, Mendes,or Lamas
 
The kid is asking for a title shot. Fighting the former champ would justify his belief that he deserves one.

Right now, Edgar is looking like he'd be too big of a jump as well.

He already beat Cub who was a top contender at one point.

I'm personally not a big Lamas fan. And I've said before Chad's claim to fame is looking good in a loss.

Gotta fight the big dogs at some point. And it seems to make sense for both guys right now. Max coming off a W, Aldo off an L.

A champ getting whooped shouldn't get an immediate rematch. You got embarrassed, go get another win to get back to form.

Watching this road to the octagon and it's weird to see nate diaz be introspective and talk about how he's misunderstood. Dude is smiling and saying he does have a sense of humor.
 
I'm glad you all are against an Aldo rematch. The thing is, we have been on Aldo Conor overload for over a year. To market another fight right now would be almost boring

The obvious worry is that Conor will contest the lightweight belt forcing Frankie to wait again. At 155 I would like the winner to fight Ferguson or pettis/Alvarez and then have Conor fight Frankie in Ireland in April

I can't stop watching the Conor snoop doff mash up
 
Fighters think they deserve a rematch if the title fight was competitive now they think they deserve one out of respect after getting destroyed.
 
I blame Anderson Silva for this as well

If you're an idiot, and don't prepare or perform correctly for your fight, that's on you, UFC don't owe you ****.

Silva, Cain, Ronda, Aldo etc

I think a lot of people also believe Aldo deserves a rematch due to the length of his tenure as champ coupled with the 1+ year lay off from the ring prior to losing the title.  Whether you believe he was legit injured or not doesn't matter, that ring rust is a huge disadvantage at the highest level of the sport.

You can chalk up a one punch KO to being sloppy off of nerves from ring rust, but getting dominated and embarrassed over multiple rounds before getting stopped/subbed shows a true difference in skill level.

While I believe Aldo is deserving of a rematch, I agree he needs a warm up fight to get his confidence back or find out if he still has the desire.

And even though I wanted McGregor to lose, I am not an Aldo fan by any means.  I just don't like the disrespect McGregor throws at opponents whether or not it is just for show based on having trained and fought myself, I can't get down with that kind of behavior.

-Aldo lost badly, but he just got caught. He wasn't dominated like say Weidman or Honda.

If they was no one waiting behind Aldo, I would have less of a problem with him getting a rematch.

Conor didn't impose his will on Aldo really, Aldo made a critical error, and Conor exploited that. Kudos to Conor for that, but....

We have no idea who is the better fighter between the two.

-IMO, giving Aldo a rematch wouldn't be as bad as Cain's or Frankie's one against Bendo. Those to me were kinda ridiculous

-Also I think it will do Aldo some good to be fighting more often. He can wash someone early next year, then prepare to be a last minute fill in if Conor or Frankie get hurt.

If that doesn't happen, then he gets his shot late nest year.

Agreed with everything Rusty. If Aldo got dominated over a round or a few then I'd understand the arguments against it but he just made one giant mistake and paid for it. He's done so much for the company not to get amother shot. He sure as hell deserves more of a shot than Honda who got legit washed

True lol. But Khabib did thoroughly dominate RDA and was the last man to beat him. Khabib would be champ if he never got hurt IMO. Now who knows with all the injuries he's suffered 

I typically despise rematches but every situation is unique. Comparing different ones doesn't make much sense, you have to consider the context of each one

hes 1 fight away from ALSO being a 2 division champ, possibly could do it before mcgregor.
