The MMA Thread: DON'T ASK 4 STREAMS & NO GIFS- UFC 300 ON NOW

Chuck and Hackleman must be pissed. For the past 2 weeks they've been all over giving interviews talking about how Glover is gonna destroy Jones or submit him by the 3rd round if the fight is on the ground.

IDK how easily Cain would be able to make weight. He's by no means a small HW. He has sick cardio for his size. He'd probably be compromising his gas tank by dropping 45 pounds.

Besides he's the HW champion. Bones gotta go up to fight him, not the other way around. The HW strap > .
hes 240 of tubby fat, he can easily eat healthy and make weight. Look at his midsection, easily 10-15 pounds alone.  I don't think he even lifts heavy anymore with his injuries and surgeries. And if anything it would help his gas tank being much lighter. But I do agree, Bones has to go up to fight Cain. I was just saying the only guys who can touch him right now are those three. I don't even know if Dos Santos can handle Jones at heavyweight.

He's 250 first of all. And he's by no means "tubby fat". Looks can be deceiving, but I'd wager his BF% is lower than you think. Also for a career HW, to cut that much weight can have catastrophic effects on stamina.

I get that it is hypothetical, but for no reason should Cain ever have to cut down. He is the king of kings right now and Jones would have to come up to him.

Cain may not look as cut as other dudes, but guy is still a tank. A career Heavyweight for sure.

Exactly. Why in the world would Cain go down in weight. That makes no sense. Cain can wait for Jones when the time is right. Cain walks around at 250+ anyway. Not going to be easy to all of a sudden go down and expect to compete with the likes of Jones

exactly.

Bones is one different dude. Just check the post conference lol. Especially when he said Phil Davis was off pouting somewhere and high fived Anthony Johnson. Such an odd individual

Just finished watching the post-fight presser.

Um.....

Yeah man ....

"Bones" is weird as ****. Just gives a weird vibe. His interaction with "Rumble", his Ali commentary, his unwillingness to talk about who he wants to fight.

I get it man, you want to live in the moment. You don't want to talk about Gus, you don't wanna talk about "Rumble" but man WTH are you talking about bro?

Helwani was the second reporter to ask about Gus and quickly backed off once Jones stiffly rebuffed him.

Rockhold showed media his broken toe right away walking out of the Octagon. Funny moment sharing potato chips with Jones in the presser.

Glover straight to hospital for cut, left rib, right shoulder.

Got there late missing Ronda and Chuck. But did hang post-fight with Shad and Faber. Also met Ray Rice and Jacoby Jones.

:smokin Dope view. Bones declined the chip at first and then said "aw hey **** it". Meanwhile Rockhold is going to town while "Bones" is fielding questions.

 Impressive *** victory by Rockhold, I wanna see him against a TRT-less Vitor.

SH: Rockhold wants Vitor badly in Vegas. Essentially called first fight a fluke. Said he already beat Jacare and only wants Belfort or to shut up Bisping for good.

Dana says Anderson will fight at end of the year.

Miller and Khabib or Cerrone imminent.

IDK if I like that Khabib fight for Miller. Khabib is on a 6 fight win streak in the UFC, I know he's only 25 but he's got 22 fights under his belt and I think he's ready for Pettis.

I don't see the upside for Khabib fighting Jim Miller. I like the Cerrone fight for Miller a ton more.

This dude "Cowboy" begged Dana to be a late replacement for Ellenberger. White said, "Cerrone is a man that needs to be saved from himself."

Nobody wants Khabib, like Gil and Nate previously, but Miller says he loves the fight. "I can grapple, strike, and wrestle with him."

And he undoubtedly can. No denying that, but whats the upside for Khabib?

If they do that fight, Khabib better get the next shot at Pettis.

I'd honestly rather see Khabib fight TJ Grant once Grant is fully healthy, heard he's almost there.

I'm not on board with Khabib yet in terms of being a fan. His style is not very pleasing, if people thought Bendo was getting bad then what will they think of Khabib. I respect both of those fighters for sure though.

Bones gonna Bones...

Guy was just flowing last night. Clinch work was savage :smh: Plus all the funky ****... I loved when Glover was trying to get the underhook with his back to the cage and Jon was locking up his arm and elevating it trying to hyper extend his elbow. The way he utilises leverage is pretty amazing.

I don't see who is going to beat him at 205 now.

Now he's proved he can eat bombs there are no more questions to be asked.

It was a great card on the whole. Some wild finishes. Anybody see the flying knee on the prelims??? :x :smh:
