Bendo's finishing combo looked straight out of a video game. Plus I like the jab he took at Pettis about the belt not being defended and if someone wanst to fight for the belt they should get @ him.

Funny but people are already sticking up for Sonnen and making excuses for him. How he was taking the substances to help him start producing testosterone naturally and that he just forgot to inform the commission that he was taking them.
I wonder if UFC moves up the Penn/Edgar fight to the ppv. Its only 1 day, so it shouldn't be a big deal for them. Then maybe find someone else to main event the TUF card the day after. Although Fox may not allow them to take Penn/Edgar off that card.

Seriously....
I assumed he was taking shots at Khabib at the end of the fight. The "I Do My Talking In The Cage" bit and basically saying since the belt is on hold, that anyone who is thinking they should fight for the belt (Khabib) shouldn't just sit on the sidelines and see him.

Your probably right. I heard "the belt isn't being defended" and I remember seeing Pettis there plus Pettis hasn't defended the belt yet(I know because of injury), so I just added all that together.

I saw both interviews. The one with Dana and the one with Sonnen. I wonder if it was anyone else, say Belfort, if Dana and all of these fans would be sticking up for him.Sonnen

Dana basically said that it was partly Sonnen's and the commission's fault. How Chael was on TRT and it was legal, then all of a sudden it became illegal. Then he gave reasons saying that if you're on TRT you can't stop cold turkey and you need to take estrogen blockers like Chael to prevent side effects. So in his opinion the commissions should've had guidelines in place for the fighters coming off of TRT. Then he went on about how Sonnen just got married and wanted to start a family so he took hCG and now his wife is pregnant. And for no reason he went after ESPN saying people think UFC has a PED/TRT issue because of them, and that only 5 out of 500 UFC fighters got exemptions for TRT. (Which is a lie. Off the top of my head there's Hendo, Sonnen, Mir, Rampage, Forrest, Big Foot, Belfort, Duffee, Marquardt, etc)
During the Sonnen part his main argument was that it was out of competition testing. And unless its a PED they should be allowed to take something prescribed by a doctor. He gave examples about how if you get hurt the doctor can prescribe you vicodin and its ok out of competition but if you test for it on fight night then its a problem. Basically he got caught because he was told by his doctor whatever he was taking would be out of his system after a certain number of days. He did his own testing and they didn't show up on the test. But then USADA came in and tested him and they're testing picks up on smaller traces so he got caught.
It's interesting that both Sonnen and Dana said what he took isn't a PED. The Colts Robert Mathis just got suspended for taking the same thing, Clomid. Manny Ramirez and Brian Cushing both got suspended for hCG. I think even Dennis Siver got suspended for it too.

There are so many disappointing things surrounding this whole TRT thing and Sonnen/Wandy... it's a terrible look for the sport. I hope the guys who are clean can put up some great performances so we can get past this dark cloud. I feel like this taint is snowballing into something that could really hurt the future of the sport.
How is Sonnen going to ever show his face on camera after this. If this happened to Wandy, Sonnen would be tearing him a new one. I don't know how I feel about the guy anymore..

When dude juiced against Anderson he didn't care, when he broke federal laws he didn't care, when he says racist stuff he doesn't care. He is a man of low character that will always have a place in the UFC because he appeals to a certain crowd.

I never really "supported" Sonnen but I definitely think his analysis was pretty solid. Lately though IMO it's been pretty faulty and off-kilter.
I never took his trolling serious, racist or obnoxious as it may have been, I thought most of his trolling was hilarious. He knows how to rustle.
I would venture to say that in every sport a majority of the athletes could be considered "low character". That just the type of individual you're going to get in the industry. Personally I view athletes with a completely different scope, especially boxers and MMA fighters.
Floyd Mayweather's racism for instance, IMO, is much worse than what Sonnen was doing. Floyd's was dead serious while Sonnen's was clearly trolling. I still love Floyd as an athlete and love watching him perform. I don't give a damn that he said some blatantly terrible things about Filipinos.

I don't want this to become a racism/race thread but that sums it up perfectly. Sonnen does appeal to a certain crowd. Anytime something happens with him or he does something, just go on Twitter or other forums and see the things that are written. When he fought Silva it was common to see his supporters make nasty comments about Brazil, him being a thug cause he has earrings, and things about his wife and kids. In his fight with Jones they questioned his religion and called him the n-word and boy on countless occasions. The guy "FrontRowBrian" on Twitter that breaks all news Sonnen, sticks up for him constantly, and even has Sonnen shouting him out on tv, he calls all Brazilians, hispanics, etc., "Mexican" just as a way to blatantly disrespect them. No one wants to say it but UFC makes a lot of money from the white, far right conservative crowd. And thats who Sonnen appeals to so they'll keep sticking up for him.
It'll be interesting to see if he can talk his way out of this. People are already believing what he said but reporters are calling him out for what he said. He stated that the two drugs he tested positive for were legal to take out of competition. But WADA and the USADA both clearly state that both drugs aren't allowed at all.
