The MMA Thread: DON'T ASK 4 STREAMS & NO GIFS- UFC 300 ON NOW

I'm really worried about Cruz. Look at his style and look at his injuries. I have a hard time believing he will have the type of timing, pace and movement he had before all the injuries. It was a bouncy, non-stop frenetic onslaught of feinting and striking. I'm praying he does though! Love Cruz, even when he had that tiff with Faber.

King Mo is fighting Dustin Jacoby. Tough, Glory vet. Making his Bellator debut. Seasoned with kickboxing.

Lashley is facing Josh Burns. Journeyman fighter that Bobby should finish in the first round.
how is he able to do tna and this

A lot of what you said about Dana is basically the same thing Askren recently said in an interview. He basically said that he doesn't like how Dana treats people and that all he cares about is the bottom line and not the athletes.

So he's pretty much like 90% of the people that run businesses in the world

Yeah but they're not constantly in the spotlight like he is telling lies and acting like a complete jackass.

I'm one of the few that feels it's a shame Askren isn't in the UFC. Dana showed complete disrespect in catering or negotiating with Funky Ben. Is he boring? Without a doubt. But is he also an elite wrestler, one of the best in the sport? Hands down. Askren has tightened up and improved his striking with Roufus. He's not a lost cause in the standup.

Askren's standup has improved a lot since joining Roufus and when he takes guys down, he's always looking to finish. Apart from being boring, I think him calling out UFC about drug testing a few years ago is a big part of why he isn't there now. When UFC was saying it would be impossible for them to randomly test their fighters cause they live all over the world he called them out and said the USOC does it with Olympic athletes and UFC just doesn't wanna spend the money cause its expensive. Thats when Dana started going after him publicly with the Askren/Ambien jokes. Now 2 years later and UFC is implementing exactly what they said was impossible.

@ChampCruThik  I figured if anyone would know it would be you, but do athletic commissions have to approve fights in UFC, Bellator, etc? Just read that UFC announced Uncle Creepy vs Lineker for Nov 8. Just a little while ago UC had surgery on a broken hand and according to him, he got an infection just a few days ago. Now he's supposed to be fully healed, regain all strength, and have a training camp for a fight 2 months away. I thought the commissions prevented fighters from training with injuries unless they're cleared?

Just a reminder that Jacare vs Mousasi is tonight

So the ufc signed thiago silva again. I guess putting a gun in his wife's mouth, threatening to shoot up the gym she trains at and having a standoff with SWAT weren't too bad. I forgot he also gave a fake urine sample in his fight against vera.

They only brought him back because the prosecutors dropped all of the charges in the case. And the victim wouldn't cooperate with the cops and left the country.

Damb, she was fleeing for her life, I'm only assuming. I don't blame her

Don't think it was the smartest move to bring Silva back, you want to be associated with all of that? Charges might have been dropped but I'd wager a pretty penny dude was on some psycho murderer **** that day. Wager that he deserves to be in jail.

Yeah, she fled. Still makes no sense to hire that scumbag again. Why would they want that gun carrying psycho as an employee?

I wouldn't bring him back but that's on them. If they're willing to take the risk, so be it. Even though she fled the charges still shouldn't have been dropped. Other people were in the gym so they have more witnesses.

Lashley just destroyed this guy but still looked bad to me. Instead of unloading on the guy with ground and pound he kept going for submissions. I think he's still worried about gassing like he did in his fights in Strikeforce.
