The MMA Thread: DON'T ASK 4 STREAMS & NO GIFS- UFC 300 ON NOW

That's a damn shame about Glover. Evans is now in limbo, there's nobody to fight at LHW. Glover Evans was a perfect match

If Silva beats Diaz he gets the next title shot. At least according to Dana.

I know Dana says a lot crap that we shouldn't believe but this time I think he's telling the truth. Really sucks for Jacare cause he keeps winning and keeps getting passed over.

Jacare is scheduled to face Yoel Romero, either would instantly deserve a title shot with a win

Rockhold will most likely face Machida, either would instantly deserve a title shot with a win

Diaz just skipping the line

Dana better be telling another one of his lies

Jones "Raaallegedly" had an off T:E ratio too

...
Yikes, read up a bit on it, something bizarre going on here

Going back to the coke, White claiming that they administered the wrong test on Jones to begin with
laugh.gif

White also shed some light as to why the Nevada Athletic Commission was even testing Jones for cocaine if it isn’t on the list of banned substances out competition. Simply enough, the company who administered the test made a mistake.

“They made a mistake,” White said. “The guys who come and do the random drug testing made a mistake and tested him for street drugs. In the state of Nevada, whatever the athletic commission has, the public has access to it, so they have to release it.”

White and the UFC hope that this situation turns into a positive and leads to the long term health of one of its biggest stars. If the test hadn’t been taken, Jones potentially could have continued using the drug and ran into more issues in the future. The fact that this has been avoided is a blessing, according to White.

“Everything happens for a reason. It’s a great thing this happened. It’s a great thing this guy made a mistake; who would have known? We would never know and now we can get him the help he needs,” White said. “To sum it up, we are worried about Jon Jones the human being, the person and we aren’t worried the image of the sport or any of that right now. I applaud him and I support him.”

Anderson would skip the line for a third fight with Weidman (or Vitor after February).

Jacare hasn't lost since Rockhold. He's beating, potentially tapping Romero.

You think Anderson/Diaz deserve to skip, Champ? I feel like Rockhold/Jacare definitely deserve a damn shot if they win their fights. Machida and Yoel not as much but still pretty close. Anderson/Diaz winner doesn't prove much, both guys coming off long layoffs and off losses, bad losses

Supposedly his T:E was .39 which is .11 lower than what Olympic sprinter Justin Gatlin was showing when he tested for bad ratios prior to his suspension

Those numbers SHOULD get Flagged by testing center.

I don't. Jacare is most deserving with a W over Romero. Would make an 8-fight win streak. Romero, Carmont, Mousasi, and Okami is a more worthy resume than Machida, Bisping, Timmy, and Costa. I know Luke beat Jacare already, but that was 4 years ago.

Also don't believe Conor deserves to jump Frankie, even if he KO's Siver within 2 minutes like he's promising.

Conor don't deserve jack ****

but tbh I wouldn't mind that as much as Nick or Anderson skipping the line

Frankie getting screwed big time though

Since when does Brimage, Max, Brandao, "Diamond," Siver equate to a title shot. I get McGregor's talking his way into big fights and his style thus far is electric, but bravado doesn't trump resumes. Frankie is a former champ, realistically won 2 rounds off Aldo the first time around, and just tapped Cub even if you want to say Penn is washed and Oliveira is mediocre.

Garbrandt would beat Conor if he ever moves to 145 in the future.

It should get flagged but they'll sweep it under the rug and claim that it was low because of him using cocaine. Which could be true but who knows.

Its a weird result, either the testing facility made a mistake or Jones was on PEDs. Epi levels are too high for any other conclusion I can think of.

Man, no more Edgar rematch title shots
Frankie has actually earned another shot

a blind man could see Edgar won the second Benson fight and his first fight with Aldo was close
The statistics slightly favor Edgar in his second fight with Benson but to the naked eye it was razor close, I don't think it was all that obvious. Fight Metric said they scored it a draw on a 10 point must system. Frankie always finds himself in close fights for the title it seems. He deserves to be fighting for a title next, or at LEAST let him fight Conor for #1 contender. Dana wants that money though, I don't blame him

Give Edgar Mendes or Lamas

If Edgar gets another rematch he would have only fought 6 guys in his last 11 fights

If we're living in a world where Lawler and Hendricks may fight again and Silva may get a shot at Weidman after beating Diaz when he lost to dude twice in a row in his last 2 fights, Edgar fighting Aldo again is hardly a travesty.

Any way you cut it, with the exception of Conor, SOMEONE is getting a rematch with Aldo if he stays champ.

Might as well be Frankie who's beaten 3 guys since his fight with Aldo including the #1 contender.
