The MMA Thread: DON'T ASK 4 STREAMS & NO GIFS- O’Malley v Vera on NOW

Sign Nunes and let him have the fight. Dude is in shape since he's been helping train aldo.

I highly doubt they'll put Edgar or Mendes in so either of them can wash Coner and ruin all the hype that was built for the fight with Aldo.

I'm thinking Coner sits out or they make McGregor vs. Siver 2

It'll be non title fight   Dana is a scumbag but he wouldn't do that to Aldo

Because Dana is such a scumbag, I think he'll do exactly that.

On the hopes that Conor wins and will have a belt to parade around, talk nonsense with, and hype up a Aldo match up in the fall.

But if Frankie or Chad are willing to wash Conor for me. I won't eem be mad that the put up a interim belt.

It would be a first in terms of stripping a title that quickly

Ultimately Dana can afford for them to take Conor off the card because it's pretty stacked as is

I do think Dana will offer Conor a big pay day to stay on, but on this short notice I'm not sure who they could realistically find. Then of course they run the risk of Conor losing and there goes the Aldo fight

If they pull Conor off the card, do they really keep him out until October though?

I think they keep McGregor on the card. So many people from Ireland are flying in for that ppv just to see McGregor and I don't think UFC would wanna piss them off especially if Ireland is a market they want to capture.

If Conor stays on I hope they put Edgar, Lamas or Mendes. Lamas got the most personal with Conor, even if he's coming off a loss I'd love to see them match up

Thats what Helwani made it seem like. That Diaz was one of the options and UFC and McGregor really like the option of making that matchup.

If Conor fights Nate at 155 and loses.

The UFC is gonna have a hard time convincing me to pay to see him fight Aldo in the fall.

And that's why Nate makes the most sense out of the 3, if he fights at all.
He would have a better shot against him, but who knows.

Wooooooooo!

In light of recent reports regarding the status of UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo, UFC has received official medical confirmation from several doctors that Aldo did not suffer a broken rib. Following a review of the scans, it has been determined that the champion suffered a bone bruise to his rib and cartilage injury during training.

With this news, Aldo has expressed that he has every intention of facing Conor McGregor at UFC 189.

While Aldo has indicated that he will compete in Las Vegas on July 11, UFC has confirmed a contingency plan. No.1 featherweight contender Chad Mendes will face McGregor for the interim UFC featherweight championship in the event Aldo cannot compete.

UFC remains committed to delivering the featherweight and the welterweight championship fights at UFC 189 during UFC International Fight Week in Las Vegas.
