The MMA Thread: DON'T ASK 4 STREAMS & NO GIFS- UFC 300 ON NOW

I don't even care I had Conor losing the fight tbh, I have yet to rewatch

I'm happy he won though, I don't care if it wasn't a finish. He kept up with Nate at his own game which is really really impressive. Not to mention this time i feel there was a true size difference

His take down defense was solid as well, surprised me

 @ anyone giving R2 to Nate.

He looked good for like 60-90 seconds of the round and was getting destroyed for the other 3.5-4 minutes.

Son was put on his *** twice.

Anyway, I'm happy for both these dudes.

Conor gets revenge and Nate didn't lose anything.

If anything his stock just improved after that performance, plus he got paid, :pimp:

R1 R2 R4 mcgregor. R3 R5 nate. R1 R2 were 10-8 mcgregor

SMH @ these dumb UFC  fighters saying nate won. the hate for mcgregor is real

losing fight #2 was good for nate. now he can cash out again

nate's career earning was at 2M. he made that in 202 alone. he should be praising mcgregor

cash out on #3 at the lower weight class and retire. son is beyond punch drunk

but nate coming out to 2pac was beyond

Just re watched the fight (love having the PPV card for 24 hours).

Okay.

Round 1 Conor
Round 2 Conor
Round 3 Diaz
Round 4 Conor
Round 5 Diaz

Now for a serious question. If you're of the belief that Round 3 was 10-8 Diaz, then Round 1 or 2 has got to be 10-8 McGregor, at least ONE of the two right?

After the first watch, live, I was like "ehh, I can see Diaz's point, somewhat" but on second viewing, there's no way he won that fight, and there's no way he should scored a 10-8 round if you don't give Conor a 10-8 in 1 or 2.

Most of the damage Diaz did in Round 2 was done by Rogan "Conor's gassing badly right now."

Watch Round 2 with the sound off.

Round 2 was definitely the deciding round. Conor looked good in the first 3.5 mins, but Nate closed it out strong.

Only? This is the third and fourth time anyone has gotten the million+ payout from UFC. Also, Reebok sponsorship and PPV cuts aren't included

Only 3 mil and 2 mil for the headliners?
Do they get any another money?
Breh, that's the highest purses ever in MMA

They don't get paid a lot compared to boxing

However with PPV shares, Reebok payout and other sponsors, they probably got much more

I like that, comparatively speaking, they take care of Rumble.

All this Conor/Nate talk is great.

But Rumble to me in that PPV cemented himself as the dude you DO NOT want to be across from in that cage.

That is outrageous. After training camp and travel he's left with nothing.

#startaunion

All of them men and women getting peanuts. It doesn't work like boxing. That's why I think the MMA model is garbage. Besides GSP, Spider (recently), McGregor, Brock, Ronda and Nate who was making real big money? I'm not going to act like marquee names ain't making 100K or a quarter mil but the market isn't mature yet. And it's all based on the brand not the names. People cared about yesterday's card because of Connor/Nate.

And Rumble is a monster. He cracked Gustafson. He cracked Bader. He cracked Glover. The only two lackluster fits he had were against Phil Davis (he stuffed all of Phil's takedowns) and the title fight with DC (where he gave him one of those scorchers).

Conor is going home with at least 15 million after sponsors and PPV share money. Probably closer to 20 million.

Tomorrow on Ariel's show:

Conor's coach

Aldo's coach

Ferguson

Garbrandt

Garbrandt is going to trash Cruz lol. Interested to see what Aldo's coach has to say about Conor

Fight purse: $3 million.

Reebok Sponshorship  money: $250.000.

Estimated PPV Share: $11.5 million.

Mac made it. Top floor. Wow.

And Nate eating good too. That's crazy. You know every fighter is going to come at management for more money because of that.

Or demand super fights with GSP, Anderson, Conor, Nate, Nick or Cyborg lol.

conor is also one of the few fighters that is allowed to have a sponsor on his shorts. he's getting that monster money.

Nate probably gonna get suspended for smoking the cbd

Dudes on the main card literally making 1% of what Nate's purse :smh:

Conor spent at least a minute of the fight running away. Diaz pointed at him at least twice like where u going?? Either way I still had mac winning. Was too strong first 2 rounds.
