The MMA Thread: DON'T ASK 4 STREAMS & NO GIFS- UFC 300 ON NOW

Maaaaannnn, did 3 hours of BJJ tonight. 1 hour of gi and 2 hours of no gi. **** is so much fun man once you get the basics down. Been trying gogoplatas on fellow white belts thinking I'm Nick Diaz  gogoplata (aokiplata) from mount is so gangster too

Did one lesson and always wanted to keep going, but damn BJJ is an expensive sport

Cowboy - Lawler can't wait.

I am interested to see the CM fight this weekend, interested in what he can do. It's been what, 2.5 years of training now??

Overeem has it this weekend vs Miocic

i had around 5 gis, but my favorite by far was my koral gi. it was so light, yet durable and strong.

padilla and sons used to make quality and affordable gis before i stopped training. dunno if they're still around.

Edit found my gear.

Mma warehouse is having a 15% off sale from Labor Day. About to grab the tatami nova. And then the venum elite from venum.com for competition

Brock was a celebrity I'm not surprised his fight held the record for that long

Add in the hate involved with Mir and that it was a landmark 100 event I mean it's not surprising

200 simply didn't have the wow factor on paper that it was supposed to

Props to Nathan ************* Diaz.

Talked that **** after the Johnson fight.

I don't even think Conor knew that Nate was the PERFECT opponent for him the way Nate did.

Dude played this whole **** masterfully.

Honestly at that time i truly believe Conor was all about getting those two belts. He knew money would come in either way but I think he was more focused on the belt

After Nate I believe his mind completely switched to making money

I agree. It's just crazy that Nate had the vision since the Johnson fight and the whole **** played out the way it did.

I give credit too. His speech was amazing

Everyone was calling Conor out though they still are. Everyone wants that money fight so that's where I'm not quite giving him as much credit but he handled everything textbook in terms of the callout

Dudes got 5 gi's?? :wow:

Been doing Jits for 3 months now. It's super addictive.

Lucky enough to be located at Braulio Estimas GB academy in the UK. Atmosphere is awesome.

He was the perfect foil to McGregor. The bad boy image, brash trash talking, etc. I'm sorry but Woodley, Alvarez, RDA, etc just don't have "it." Not taking away from their fighting skills.

Nate is Nate. Nobody has his bravado. Maybe not even Conor

My point was that I don't necessarily see him doing anything groundbreaking by calling Conor out. Everyone was doing it. Of course like I said, Nate did it all textbook. His speech was brilliant
