I'm aware.

I guess you're just going to ignore submitting the "#1 contender" in his last fight though

From the article:

But during a Thursday interview with Bleacher Report, Nevada State Athletic Commission executive director Bob Bennett said that carbon isotope testing was indeed done on Jones' pre-fight drug tests, and that the results came back clean.

"CIT testing was done, and according to our doctor, none of the results were a concern," Bennett said when asked if carbon testing was done on the samples.

The CIR tests were conducted recently and results were returned to the commission on Thursday.

Mannnnnnnnn

When the failed test posted, everyone was screaming that CIR testing was needed.
Now Nevada who hasn't previously been using the testing, want us to buy that they ran the test "recently"

I'd have to actually see the paperwork and dates to believe. I am super skeptical, maybe I'm wrong but they got to SHOW me

Very weird regardless, this whole situation

Kevin Lole just posted this article

Dr. Christiane Ayotte, the head of the WADA-accredited laboratory in Montreal, saw no problem with Jones' T/E ratio.

One way to manipulate a T/E ratio downward would be to take epitestosterone, but Ayotte said that would be easily detected in a screening.

"I read the interviews of 'specialists' on that topic [in MMA media accounts], and, well, I am sorry, but such T/E values are not at all abnormal," she said. " … The administration of epitestosterone is easily detected. It does not give a small increase that looks natural, but a huge peak that is very difficult to control. I have seen only one case of attempted masking with epitestosterone and it was readily detected.

"Epitestosterone is not metabolized rapidly and stays high. An epitestosterone urine sample does not look like the ones you sent me."

Man, no more Edgar rematch title shots

What? Bro.....He's about the ONLY guy in the UFC other than Gustaffson that legitimately is due a rematch. Can't fault him because he's always in title contention, fam is a beast widit.

Frankie deserves a rematch

He could only do anything when Jose gassed

As insightful as that gif is.....

What do you do at FW? Let's say Conor loses. Who gets the shot? They're ALL rematches besides McGregor.

We all assume that if McGregor wins, he gets the shot, for beating the #10 guy in the division. If he loses, what then?

Mendes was KO'd CLEAN in his first fight with a McGregor. Reeled off a few wins. None as strong as Edgar's last. Was he any more deserving? Should he get another after a great fight where he lost 49-46 on all cards?

Is Lamas next up?

Who?

If Conor loses they should go with Frankie. But for some reason I think they may go with Aldo/Mendes 3. The 2nd fight was great and even up for fight of the year at the Fighters Only mma awards. So they could probably try to build a 3rd fight up using that. In the end whichever fight they think will make them the most money is the fight they'll make.

First I've heard of an Aldo/Mendes 3. Like I said, #2 was a great fight, but Aldo still won decisively.

And Mendes got a 2nd fight after being KOd in the first round in #1.

I don't see how you do that after Frankie just subbed Cub. And beat him decisively.

It's questionable enough to have Conor get the shot after beating Siver when Edgar just beat the supposed "#1 Contender". But I undertand the business behind it.

Given that, nothing would really surprise me either way.

I agree that Edgar deserves the next shot. Just saying that Conor is 1st in line and Mendes could very well be 2nd in line in front of Edgar. When it comes to making championship fights, money is more important than making fights that make sense. And Aldo/Mendes 3 probably makes more money than Aldo/Edgar 2.

Thats why Silva is next in line if he beats Diaz. And I wouldn't be shocked if Diaz gets a shot if he beats Silva. Both of those fights probably makes UFC more money than Jacare or Rockhold. And why we're getting Hendricks/Lawler 3. Its all about ppv buys and ticket sales.

I get all that. But is Mendes really that much more of a "bankable" star?

Frankie's a former champ, perennial contender. TUF coach. Been in some epic fights. Finished Cub.

I personally don't see what makes Aldo/Mendes 3 any more appealing than Aldo/Edgar 2 COULD be. That's a toss up to me.

Mendes is 0-2 vs. Aldo. I think they can market and promote Edgar/Aldo 2 better at this point.

Lawler/Hendricks is 1-1. Silva is a legend and Nick is certainly a "bankable" fighter.

Those aren't quite the same. But the mystery begins to unfold next weekend.

And if the argument is that Edgar's someone not deserving or that he shouldn't get it because it's a "rematch", well that makes even less sense

He also KO'd the #5 tho

You're a Frankie Edgar fan, I get it, we've argued about him before.

I'm not saying Conor is anymore deserving, it's just more interesting to me.

Frankie can fight Mendes or Lamas, at least that will cut down the number rematches in the division. Don't you want to see him fight someone else for a change? And if Edgar wins against Aldo? ANOTHER immediate rematch.

TBH I think Aldo is almost done with the division, and I think he'll go up to LW soon if he doesn't lose.
