The MMA Thread: DON'T ASK 4 STREAMS & NO GIFS- UFC 300 ON NOW

Whether its fighters being cool with each other before fights or doing the WWE stuff, I just want them to be real and not fake the funk. DC and Jones really hated each other so WWE style promos were great. But imagine doing a Silva/GSP fight and them trying to do the same thing. People would look at them like they're crazy.

Seeing different people on twitter saying that Mendes v Lamas is a done deal. Kinda wish they would've waited until after the McGregor fight. If McGregor wins then make Mendes v Edgar. No offense to Lamas but I think more people wanna see Mendes and Edgar fight.

Save that fake drama. Like the only reason why Siver probably dislikes McGregor is because he feeds into that nonsense.

People don't want to see Mayweather/Paqiou because of blood doping, defending the honor of the Phillipines or wanting a domestic abuser get his comeuppance. It's simply to see who is the best fighter.

The Cormier/Jones stuff was genuine but it really didn't add to the fight. It actually hyped to the point where the actual event was a disappointment due to the way the fight played out.

If the DC/Jones fight was a disappointment, I mean that's more on you than anything else for buying into the hype as much as you did. It was a great fight, Jones just showed he was boss

I myself bought into the hype hardcore because of the drama AS WELL as the fact that they were at the top of their careers

I don't like "fake drama" either but I do like to see some jimmies getting rustled, that always makes fights more intriguing for me

I don't disagree with anyone else's opinion on this matter either it's all preference

Someone should fight dana. tito had his chance but chickened out. Probably made an excuse and said he had a fractured brain.

Jose Aldo will be front and center in a little under an hour in Boston. So far it seems like his jimmies haven't been rustled by Conor. McGregor might need to be worried if Aldo or any of the other top contenders come into a fight void of emotion and bitterness

Aldo probably isn't letting McGregor get to him because he doesn't think he's a threat. He already said he thinks Mendes could beat all of the other contenders on the same night.

FX has McGregor hosting a movie marathon now with Gangs of NY, The Fighter, and Taken 2.

This whole thing they're doing making Aldo answer all these dumb questions from these drunken Boston idiots seems a little ridiculous

Subjecting the long time champ to this B.S.

Also this hostess is a ******* bimbo

I cant wait to see what Uriah Hall shows up. Dude has shown so much potential but at times dude is a total bust.

Hall doesn't seem to have that killer instinct and heart. It's like he has talent, especially in stand up (not so much in GnP and wrestling).

Like it's crazy he was the favorite going into the TUF finale. But it seems Gastulum turned out to be the real winner and is on his way to getting a title shot after the title shot after the title shot if he wins his next fight.

yeah ... I don't think he fully lets go. He's also always thinking about the damage he can inflict to others ... But when he's on, he's a beauty to watch.

You're involved in human cockfighting and trapped in a cage and concerned about the "damage" you're going to do? That's his problem, he keeps trying to dap and fist bump his opponent being concerned about their physical well being. He needs to get in and get out. No need to be of questionable repute like the Bellator WW champion but you have to have ill intentions to step into that cage and win fights.

What are you watching?
It was a Q and A session with Jose Aldo, where fans could ask him anything

It was a little ridiculous with all the stupid questions and weak troll attempts by McGregor fans

Basically Aldo said:

-He isn't looking or thinking about moving to lightweight and he wants to stick around at 145

-He said he's the King, Chad Mendes is the Prince and McGregor is the Court Jester Clown

-He wouldn't fight Barao

-He would beat McGregor in all 5 rounds if it came to it

-Whether or not McGregor wins or loses, Aldo wants to beat him up regardless

Overall Aldo wasn't really that emotional nor did it seem like he really let McGregor get in his head

I thought the fights were going to be tonight. It'll be weird watching fights on a Sunday. Fox is probably hoping viewers will keep it on the channel after the football game.

Wow, he looks emaciated and out of it.

I just watched that Q&A session. It was horrible. Like the crowd was just trolling him.

I feel like the UFC and their spin masters are wasting Jose's time to fly him to Boston just to do a walk in.

In the words of Connor, what are they tinking?

I guess the ufc wanted to test a Sunday card to see how well it would do I guess or they didn't wanna compete w bellator Friday and wsof sat
