The MMA Thread: DON'T ASK 4 STREAMS & NO GIFS- UFC 300 ON NOW

^^^ Brah he is a drug addict. This is typical druggie behavior. The belt ain't sending him crazy, dat white girl is.

The pressure of being on top doesn't help either I'm sure. But yeah who knows, he coulda been on this **** since college and managed to keep it quite his whole career. What's so funny is he entered the UFC being the super christian guy who said he used to snitch on kids for smoking weed, I wonder how real that whole persona was. He's a beast in the octagon but it's getting tough to defend the guy outside the cage now :smh: .

I never liked dude from the beginning. He always seemed fugazi to me. People hated saying we should like him, nah.

This dude Jonesnis out of his damb mind :smh:

Leaving the car behind with a pipe and weed in it? Just ditching a car accident in which a pregnant woman was injured? :x

AND he came back for his money AND the women's car may have hit someone's else's car. Plus the woman, who is pregnant, sustained a broken arm.

Dude is willin. Dana can't tip toe around this one. It would be a PR nightmare if he lets him fight.

this dude is a boss, going back to his buick to grab the cash and jumping over the fence in his pumps

lady could of been dead but at least hes looking out for #1

Strip of him of the belt and suspend him, he's a clown.

People usually get 3 strikes but I feel like this dude already has 3 K's.

Totally expecting that golden sombrero sometime in the near future, hopefully he doesn't hurt anyone else in the process.

Wait...wait...wait. So this Ninja got into a wreck...ran away...came back to get the cash he left in the ride...only to leave drugs and a mountain of information behind with his name address and phone number on it

Put this dude in jail off stupidity alone. If he just stuck around...admitted fault, covered ole girl's medical bills, and been a stand up dude this would probably not amount to much. They gonna throw the book at him now.

What doesn't make sense to me is why not drive away? Who the hell gets in a hit and run in a rental that has all your info on it and then ditches the car at the scene of the accident? On top of that leave a pipe and weed in there? Dude had no shame, gives no ***** at all or is just fukk stupid

Bones.

Like ole boy said, this is typical drug addict behavior. There is no logic in their actions while under the influence. He was most likely high as a kite when he got into that accident or else he wouldn't have run in the first place

I know it's a borderline jackass thing but I am so disappointed that he won't be fighting (from what it sounds like). Watching him go in and dismantle these monsters is something to behold

Pretty sure someone witnessed him sprinting in his Pumps w/ a fi****l of dollars.

Welp, he turned himself in. Upgraded to felony since the lady broke her arm. A UFC fan and an off duty cop identified him at the crash

Jon Jones is in police custody.

The UFC light heavyweight champion turned himself in to the Albuquerque Police Department on Monday night, APD spokesman Tanner Tixier confirmed with MMAFighting.com's Ariel Helwani. Jones was arrested on charges of leaving the scene of an accident involving death or personal injuries.

Jones, 27, allegedly ran a red light Sunday morning, striking a car driven by a pregnant woman. The woman, whose name is Vanessa Sonnenberg, broke her arm in the incident. Jones is being accused of fleeing the scene on foot. There was a marijuana pipe and marijuana found in the rental car Jones allegedly left behind. An off-duty police officer, a UFC fan, identified Jones at the scene.

Sonnenberg's injury upgraded the Jones charge from a potential misdemeanor to a felony. The arrest warrant was issued Monday afternoon. Jones was also incommunicable until Monday. His lawyer arranged the plans for Jones to turn himself in, per the Albuquerque PD.

UFC has acknowledged Jones is in custody and the promotion does not expect to provide any further statements Monday night. Jones' UFC 187 main event title defense against Anthony Johnson has not officially been called off.

I've smoked quite a bit for many moons now.

You can talk about "drug addict behavior" all you want, but that doesn't sound like any behavior I know from just blowing trees.

Then again, we may all have different definitions of what a "drug" is.

FIRST thing you do if you're smokey in that situation is grab your stash.

And I speak from experience. Been pulled over by cops with goods in the car who smelled it etc. Had the car searched and walked away smooth (too long a story to recount, but it's a good one).

The going back for cash is wild too. EXTRA wild.

As for the "pressure of being on top", cry me a river. I'm sure there's dudes at the bottom with families feeling a hell of a lot more pressure than this dude on a day in/day out basis.

No way that's WEED behavior, that is COKE or something other than that type behavior for sure. Aint nobody on weed going to flee from a 3 car accident

Exactly. Wasn't sure if it was said explicitly.

I'm not buying the "pressure". Jones just may not be good peoples.

And when dudes like that achieve a level of stardom like he has, they tend to feel like they can move with impunity.

Until they learn the hard way.

Only reason it hasn't been called off is because they haven't found a replacement yet.

No way in hell is he gonna fight at 187.

The UFC would look foolish allowing him to fight after this, IMO.
