The MMA Thread: DON'T ASK 4 STREAMS & NO GIFS- UFC 300 ON NOW

Thompson is aight. He doesn't have power in his hands so he has to outwork his opponents most of the time. The punching power difference and chins were obvious in one of his rematches with Gil when Gil kept hurting him.

Cerrone should just sit out and wait for a top ranked fighter or title shot...but knowing how bat**** crazy he is he would prob fight the #20 ranked guy

I was low key joking about Jorge, skeptical of but not totally against Thompson, and they give us John Makdessi?

**** atta here.

Gus injured and off his June 20th match with Glover

Another card ruined. Fancy that...

One fight i'm amazed is still on is Vitor vs Da Chris. I was positive that would never go down.

Vitor will likely drop out cause no trt or weidman will get injured

Bobby Green I believe is the first on record to say what we've been wondering

"I'm not even attacking him," Green said. "I'm just going to let it be known that he's a great fighter, I saw his talents, I saw him coming. But the point is that it looks a little funny to me, that's all I'm saying.

"It's [like] how Barry Bonds started hitting home runs."

Bonds, the Major League Baseball home run leader, never tested positive for any performance-enhancing drugs, but was convicted of obstruction of justice in a steroid case, a ruling that was recently overturned. Bonds is the face of PED use in baseball and has not been voted into the Hall of Fame, because so many suspect his use.

Green seems to think dos Anjos' rise has not been natural.

"I sparred with him personally, I felt it," Green said. "I was like, 'There's something here. There's something a little bit different here.' I knew what was going to happen to [Pettis], I knew what was going to happen."

I'll always take a fighters word on this. Dude has been God mode since the Khabib loss.

really?  he was in god mode for 3 minutes against benson?

there was nothing god mode-ish about the diaz fight, entirely predictable

only the pettis fight seems like god-mode, cause we've never seen anybody do that to pettis before..............

this bobby green probably tells himself "you know, im sure if i were on that stuff too id be getting a title shot..."

i just dont like how we're "accusing" some people of being on the stuff but not others, especially brazilians

He definitely did a 180 after the khabib fight.

I mean I can't recall Bendo getting knocked out during his UFC tenure (yeah, he got choked out by Pettis).

He dominated Cowboy. He dominated Nate (Nate did come into the fight out of shape and over weight).

But the way he dominated Pettis was crazy. The only sort of explanation is that he applied the Clay Guida strategy.

I'm not saying he's cheater but he's definitely raising a few eye brows. It's too bad both he and Khabib are both out.

its also how he looks physically, reminds me of vitor before and after trt.

Vitor always seemed jacked though. It's not like he never got popped before.

I would like to see a before and after pic.

RDA also seems like a completely different striker. Not quite Vitor esque when he tore through Bisping and Rockhold. But RDA who was never known for his amazing striking tore through strong strikers like Diaz, Pettis, Cowboy, etc.

To be fair RDA linked up with that striking coach to help him

Still, the way he eats shots now, the strength in his strikes (not just the improved technique) definitely register some interest

Bendo never been KO'd, Pettis was hitting RDA with atomic bombs.. RDA walked through them like Terminator

bendo may have never been KOd but the way he came up defenseless just before the KO attributes a lot, it was a huge opening, he wasnt even looking and definitely didnt have time to brace himself

as for pettis, none of those seemed like atomic bombs with exception to the kick

if u look at vitor against franklin, silva then him vs bisping, rockhold, hendo he looks waaaaay more ripped up. very noticeable

I apologize but I meant RDA.

Vitor clearly admitted to having a TRT exception then got popped for having super high levels. It was noticeable.
