Dude has to have some degree of brain damage with that many fights. Not to mention all the training in between 

Only matches I'm semi interested in are Porier and the Meat Head/Rothwell matches
 
Gus coming off of a brutal loss. It makes sense from a money stand point. I'm not a fan of Bader's but at least he's on a win streak.

Gus has a better shot than Bader. Glad they skipped him he would get washed so quick.

I'm not saying Bader is the best matchup but he is in the front of the line. Give the dude Bader his shot, they already got some heat, maybe he can prove himself but if not then Cormier gets a squash match, Gus can go win a fight, and if Jones ain't back yet then Gus can get a shot later.

I mean I just don't agree with the concept of a dude that just got beat like he stole something getting put straight into a title fight :lol:, but hey, that's just me.

No you're right, it's just that the division is rubbish right now at the moment. Bader deserves it and Gus has no reason to fight for the title

Yeah I guess the division is so wack it almost doesn't matter but I mean damn, at least let the dude get a win in first.

But yeah at least they got Weidman Rockhold right, that fight is gonna be crazy.

We got to remember tho Gus gave jones his toughest fight regardless if jones had a ****** camp. I'm not too mad he gets the next shot, I couldn't see Bader in the title picture but that's just my honest opinion.

And who allowed Machida to fight so soon after that demolition he experienced? He was literally walking on ice coming into that 2nd rd. Not a smart move for him to fight so soon especially against Romero

I doubt Gus gives DC any trouble. He's got better striking, but DC's wrestling will neutralize that . I've only seen DC in danger once and that was when Rumble hit him with that missile in the first round. Stylistically this should be a showcase match for DC as champ because the UFC will be able to play up the "look what he did to the guy who some say beat Jon Jones".
 
^I think so too. I still kinda think Gus partially caught Jones off guard because if anybody remembers, around that time nobody was giving Gus even the slightest chance. It was almost TJ Dillashaw Renan Barao level surprise. Cormier is gonna be drilling his offensive wrestling crazy and I think he takes Gus out similar to how he took out AJ, definitely should be a showcase fight.
 
Jones said he didn't take Gus seriously during that training camp. His interviews had him appearing to look past Gustafson.

I think the reason he wanted Gus to beat Johnson was so that he could silence all the folks he who think Gustafson has his number.

Honestly, after seeing what Jones did against DC, I just can't see Rumble or Gus having much for Jones.
 
I don't even like Bader, but he should have gotten that shot.

Highlight of Gus' career right now is losing to Jones in a tough fight. He doesn't have many quality wins outside of that.

gus looks the part and outside of getting mauled by anthony johnson has been pretty dominate. 

bader's been finished by glover, tito, machida, and jones.

no angle would have played that one off.
