The MMA Thread: DON'T ASK 4 STREAMS & NO GIFS- UFC 300 ON NOW

Notice how he is already hinting that if it's Cowboy they'd make the fight but if it's RDA "we would see because RDA isn't as popular"

Conor and Dana, you guys aint slick

Very true, Dana is a damn buffoon especially that link you posted earlier about Rhona getting the rematch

RDA would easily handle Conor I have 0 doubts about that one. Cowboy would be a more winnable match-up tho

Ronda getting an instant rematch is why she'll end up retiring. She needed a warm up fight with any other female scrub to boost her confidence and give her more time to improve her weak stand up.

DC talking about Jon's mass gain gonna make him lose what made him special  Jon says if you think transforming 10lbs of fat into muscles gonna slow me down we'll see how slow I am when I foot sweep you on your *** again

I think the advantage Conor has over all the other FW is his size. Dude walks around at like 170ish and cuts all that weight before a fight.

That size advantage will be equalized at LW imo. Only time will tell though.

I'm excited as hell for next weekend though. I like both fighters. I personally am rooting for Conor and want to see him win just for the entertainment alone. But I think Jose gon whoop his butt. We'll see.

Saw a recent interview with Conor and he said he's fascinated with air now

first the gorilla or w/e. Now air. How the hell he gonna get that tatted on him

I'm also picking my dude Weidman to prove any doubters thats left, wrong.

My predictions right now are:

-Weidman via TKO in the 2nd or 3rd

-Aldo via decision

It's in the UFC best interest to not have a 2 division champ as it locks up both divisions

I want Saul Rogers wo win it all dude fights like an old school ufc fighter

with this reebok deal looking dumber and dumber by the month did anyone else ever hear the rumor that under armor was going to take on the ufc deal?

the UFC doesn't do 2 division champs....

this came up with Aldo when they were in talks of a super fight between him and Pettis, in order for them to fight Aldo was told he would have to relinquish his belt to fight at 55

off course pettis got hurt and the fight never happened

in hindsight....aldo might have literally killed pettis in the ocatagon

Under Armour has a lot of $$$$$. They're trying to make moves in all segments of professional sports. Rumor was that they were making a bid for Taylormade.

I like the idea of having a shirt supporting your favorite fighter but this stuff is terrible. I would love a Weidman shirt man

I think pettis can hold his own against aldo.

Yes me too, just cuz terminator rda beat em doesn't mean aldo woulda killed him. Diff styles, rda is forward with pressure and threat of takedowns as well, aldo is not

And god I am sick of hearing the troll mcgregor every day talking up some more nonsense, normally wouldn't bother me but everywhere I look the dumb media bite up everything he says

9 more days til the slaughter

The winner of Aldo vs. McGregor will join Ronda on the cover for the UFC 2 game.

was this after or before pettis won 155 title? they were suppose to fight in brazil at 145 but pettis got hurt and koreanzombie filled in.

Lol are we gunna start an ea ufc cover curse?

Just read it's official Ronda vs holm rematch, I'm sompissed meisha deserves at shot at the champ screw this

Regardless if Conor wins or loses, I'm sure he's going to go to 155. The cut is too much for him and with the IV ban I can't imagine him being enticed to be fighting lesser names at FW than at LW where there are marquee names and big money fights

I don't know if Dana will let him compete in two divisions but I wouldn't be surprised one bit if it happened. Especially if Conor wins. You think Dana gives two damns about log jamming divisions?

He's done that many times if it means more $$$$$

Dana doesn't care about anything but money. If there's a chance for Conor to have two belts and Cowboy is LW champ, yeah, I don't see them not making that fight. They didn't do it with Aldo and Pettis because neither were as big as Conor is now. The Irish money alone they'd bring in would be

Pettis was not yet champ when he was scheduled to fight Aldo. The funny thing is, Pettis ended up getting a title fight at LW the same month and beat Benson due to TJ Grant getting injured

Wasn't Aldo and Pettis were supposed to fight twice? Once when Pettis was gonna move down to 145 lbs but then he got hurt. Then the next time, Aldo was supposed to move up to 155 lbs. But it fell apart because UFC wanted Aldo to vacate the belt and if he lost against Pettis he would get an immediate title shot at 145 lbs, but Aldo and his team didn't want him to vacate the belt.

There was some talks but Pettis ended up coaching TUF against Gilbert Melendez who they had just signed at the time

No way that happens, connor holding 2 belts up. If he beats aldo expect a rematch esp cuz that will make more money than cowboy vs mcgregor

And smh at lawler hurt, too late for gsp to turn his mini trial camp to an actual fight camp lol

They also didn't do it with silva/gsp when that woulda been the biggest fight at that time
