The MMA Thread: DON'T ASK 4 STREAMS & NO GIFS- UFC 300 ON NOW

Conor doesn't sound like he cares for a rematch with that Beta Girl Josie :smokin

Josie is going to run up in his crib one night and catch a charge

He can join his fat boyfriend and fade into bolivia.

they casuals be like tyrone WHO-ley?
ufc/dana is about making money
They are but I'd wager pretty much nobody knows who wonderboy is either, yet Dana made the fight

He has a holly holm type persona I wonder if that will sell well if he becomes champ

Glad Dana and co realize Woodley is not a huge draw and making him fight Wonderboy.

Perfect time for them to make the Diaz-Lawler rematch.

GSP will do numbers when he returns so I could see them giving him Lawler or Condit/Maia winner if they don't get the shot first.

dana isnt gonna waste/risk diaz or gsp (both coming off extended time off) with a fight vs tyrone.
better situation is putting those two in "superfights"

mentioned this is previous posts, belts really dont mean much if ufc can build a guy and market him properly

I don't know why they don't promote the Wood... besides the obvious.

He's good lookin no Romo and ends fights. If they'd promote him he'd do numbers. He's even good on the desk

How would it be a waste? The point is Diaz & GSP are the draw. By putting Woodley against them, you now have viewers seeing Woodley who normally wouldn't have tuned in to see him. Woodley wins chances are those viewers are now going to check out his neck fight. Even if he were to lose, if those casuals hear Woodley is on a card their curiosity might get the best of them having previously seeing him.

Only mogs watching Woodley/Wonderboy are the die hards who were going to watch regardless.

i'd watch woodley/wonderboy
i'll pay for diaz/gsp

woodley is 34 yo, if he cant be a big name by now, diaz/gsp aint gonna help. he only has so few fights left in his career

Why the hell would anybody want to see Diaz vs GSP again, much less pay for it. I'm really having trouble understanding that

I like Woodley vs. Wonderboy. I know it's the McGregor Era of matchmaking but it's nice to see two top guys going at it still, even if they're not a "draw". Definitely hyped to see that

I was coming in here to say that. Gsp dominated that fight and Diaz did nothing. I'm a big fan of both but i'm good on that fight.

I feel like that's the fight that is going to happen tho. I guess Gsp could use a tune up.
