 I think he'd get destroyed at 155 so he had better find a way to keep his walking weight down if he wants to have a long term career. I just don't think he survives at all if he goes up

Not a believer in McGregor, but then again i wasn't a believer in Weidman. So he's just gotta back it up.

Weidman was a relative unknown when he fought Silva the first time. In some respects, he still is (mainly blame the UFC marketing branch). However, many picked him to win against Silva. He presented a serious matchup issue for Anderson. He could wrestle and had solid striking. Chael Sonnen exposed Anderson's issues against a good/competent wrestler. Weidman was a legit competitor at the time of the matchup and probably the only real matchup the UFC could make at the time.

Siver exposed McGregor takedown defense. He didn't hold him down for long, which is probably a skill issue on Siver's part. Mendes truly presents a huge question mark for Connor. If Connor wins, the hype and money invested in him will grow. If he loses, he'll just become the new Chael Sonnen/Michael Bisping. A solid MMA fighter with great trash talking.

Siver was able to take Conor down a few times but at the same time Conor didn't seem all that interested in getting out of the way. He literally got up right away, in fact Fight Metric didn't credit Siver with a single take down.. which is curious.

Tonight Chad could take him down with ease of course but Conor will be weary for sure

 I said Chad was a worse matchup than Aldo. Not necessarily a harder fight but Aldo was going to stand with Conor all night, which is what Conor wants obviously

After the Thursday press conference, I'm rooting for McGregor. Mendes came off like a natural douche. Connor has all of that braggadocio but it's all part of the presentation. He knows what he's doing.

Team Alpha Male, though they're very competent and produce a team of high-level competitors, can sometimes come across as jerks. I also didn't like the Bang Ludwig situation. And if I were T.J., I'd be looking wary of Faber. Eventually, he's going to have to fight Faber.

I know Aldo has respect for Mendes. But this is Chad's fight not Aldo. If I were Aldo, I'd hope Chad loses so I could have that million dollar pay day.
