Conor is a brown bet in BJJ. Plus he's gonna have Gunnar training him
post #17942 of 34108
I've never watched Robo Dos Anjos BJJ intently.

Connor's "Brown" belt was a bit dubious if I remember. And two months isn't going to be enough time. He has to contend with grappling/takedowns, BJJ on the ground and some wicked chest caving, leg wobbling, eye jamming striking. Movement, KO power and some solid mix ups just don't seem to be the keys to success (DJ Khaled!).

Money matchups for the Mystic One would have been Cow Boy, Pettis and Diaz.

Chandler Jones (Jon's NFL playing brother) had some sort of medical issue and was admitted to the hospital on Sunday under weird circumstances (police report was altered). Jon musta been chilling with him in the snow last weekend

Too bad Jon doesn't have Bellicheck to cover up his transgressions

Saw on Twitter that he overdosed on pills at Gronk's house. No idea if true or not

Looks like it was just weed

“I got his keys off the kitchen table, I was able to lock the front door. If you want to just pass along to the fire, he was definitely involved with Class D delta before this happened, just so they know.” [Officer dispatched to Jones' house]

Class D is likely a reference to a schedule of drugs, with marijuana probably the most common.

Was hoping the Jones bros were getting lit with Gronk and them

I was talking about it with my buddies last night and I probably will. I'll post the ticket if I do. Gotta see the betting lines and when the right time to do it.

Man the Jones brothers absolutely ******* suck at handling their drugs. Dudes turn into idiots.

If you can't keep your **** together then don't party, simple as that.

NFL players pop a ton of team approved pain-killers and stuff regularly, mighta just been a mix of some of that stuff plus the weed. He's out and practicing now so I guess it wasn't that bad.

I've always been interested in the weight-cutting process for fighters. I did some research and came across this interesting article:

Interesting comments from Aldo, saying that the intention was, whoever won the fight would move to 155 but would have to vacate the belt. Looks like Conor gets what he wants, no vacating the belt and still fighting for the 155 belt. Dude is calling all da shots right now. Dana would have let him fight anyone but Conor chose the toughest matchup of them all in RDA. Mystic Mac gets my respect, he could have fought a Nate Diaz or some non contender but he didn't

"Right after the fight, Dana went to the locker room and told us our next fight would be against Frankie Edgar for the belt, because Conor would move up for the lightweight division since he couldn’t cut weight anymore," Aldo told PVT. "I want a rematch with (McGregor), of course, especially because there was no fight. None of us fought, it was just a punch that he was able to connect and won the fight. Okay, congratulations, but it wasn’t what everyone expected. But I don’t live focused on that, I’m focused on the future.

"If it’s a rematch or a title fight, it doesn’t matter, but, of course, one day we will fight again, and I know I will beat him, I know I can do it. My next step, like I said, I can’t see other fight, and I won’t accept another fight if it’s not for the belt."

McGregor will face lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos at UFC 197, and that doesn’t surprise Aldo. In fact, the Nova Uniao fighter says he also agreed to move up to 155 pounds with a win over McGregor in December.

"When we signed the contract, the intention was that the winner would fight at lightweight, but we would need to abandon the featherweight belt," he said. "That was the plan, that’s what they told us. If we fought at lightweight, win or lose, and then had the opportunity to fight at featherweight again, it would be for the title immediately."

McGregor will try to make history as the first two-division champion in the UFC, and Aldo believes that shows how much power the Irishman has over the UFC brass.

"I think they gave him too much power, let him grow a lot, and he’s playing now, calling the shots more than the others," Aldo said. "I think that’s wrong, no one ever did that. It doesn’t matter if it’s about money or not at this point, what matters is show who calls the shots, who’s the boss, and not just a piece of s--t talking about things you see. He doesn’t deserve to be where he is. I’ve always respected all the merits, but he had more luck than merits."

Lentz with the ether?

"BJ,
I received your poorly-worded, utterly predictable, message. In spite of its clumsy structure, awful spelling, incorrect usage (you state at one point that I wrote a poem about you making fun of yourself), and general air of arrogance, entitled stupidity, I'm considering your request.

There are, of course, some conditions.

- I'm never competing at 145 ever again. Neither should you. I came to this conclusion after doing careful research, and deciding what was right for my long-term health as well as my short-term performance. If you fight at 145, it won't be long before you're eating banana mush in a nuthouse. I am accountable to my family, and my future with them. Because you are an impulsive tyrant surrounded by yes-men, you have no ability to make rational, intelligent decisions.  So I am making this one for you. If we fight, it would be at 155.

- I'm not fighting in March. Neither are you. You may imagine you are, and the imbeciles you surround yourself with may nod in agreement like the trained dogs they are, but you aren't fighting in March. You've lied to your fans, and let them down over and over, and nobody is clamoring to put the BJ PENN EXCUSE FACTORY back in business. Were I to agree to fight you in March and whup your ***, it would only give you and your lackeys the "BJ didn't have enough time" ******** excuse. Additionally, if we do fight, it will be on MY timetable, NOT yours. You are retired, and have no schedule. I am an active fighter, on the roster, with a schedule and training platform that is not beholden to your desires, grudges, or need for narcissistic supply.

- You still owe Mike Dolce $22,000. Knowing him, he is too gracious and dignified a man to revisit the traitorous back-stabbing skullduggery you engaged in with him after the third time Frankie Edgar kicked your *** inside-out. I, however, don't have the luxury of grace, and dignity is best left out of any exchange that includes you. You will donate $22,000 of your purse to the HAWAII DOG FOUNDATION,  a no-kill, all-volunteer rescue organization working hard to rescue and rehabilitate dogs in Hawaii, in Mike Dolce's name.

Give these conditions some thought. They are non-negotiable. They are rules you WILL abide by, or you can go whistle. I have a contract, and plenty of guys to fight. As a Narcissist, you have nothing but an image. And you NEED attention. You have all the money you could ever spend; but it doesn't satisfy you. I have what you NEED. I'M in charge. You can do what narcissists usually do when confronted by a higher power; SLINK AWAY. Or you can confront your needs, realize I can fulfill them, and come to terms with me, looming over you, holding the....
WHIP HAND.
I'm ALREADY in charge, you poor, deluded, fool. I did more to motivate you with TWO POEMS than all your yes-men, and titles, and highlights could.
Get as angry as you want. Go out behind your huge inherited estate and kick rocks. Go cry to your Mommy. Go **** in your hat and bark at the moon.
You want to fight?
Then it's on MY terms.
FACE IT.

Now run along, little man. Go find a way to swallow your overarching pride and do it MY way, or scuttle about like a deformed crab at low tide, like a masochist at last call, desperately looking for somebody else to thrash you.
You can go to Greg Jackson's, you can go to Jermaine Jackson's, you can listen to Mahalia Jackson, you can resurrect Jackson ******' POLLOCK to paint you a better picture of yourself than the one we all see; but...

You're an unclaimed, busted-down suitcase on a dusty shelf in an abandoned bus-terminal. Accept my conditions, or rot in obscurity.

Nik Lentz
Your BOSS"
