There's a countdown on Christmas Eve on fox sports 1 at 7 pm pacific time. No primetime treatment for the card though, Dana said it's getting pretty expensive

Anderson Silva v Chris Weidman I is on the UFC's Youtube channel. It's always weird watching fights again from a while ago. I had forgotten the first round wasn't just Anderson fooling around clowning. Weidman actually took him down and controlled the round pretty well, weathered Anderson's flurries. I didn't remember it like that.

I called the first Weidman upset, but I'd be shocked if he defends the strap.

I don't see anything other than a Spider KO.

Gonna be a rough night for KG imo.

Can't wait for Saturday. :hat

I wonder if Anderson will do his usual shtick, given what happen the last time with Weidman.

Yeah it looked just like all of anderson's other fights except weidman was the only one to make him pay for the showboating. I also remember silva's striking looking great as usual. This is why I want him to end the fight early and remind the world he can put you to sleep with the quickness.

Weidman never looked dazed or anything or even overwhelmed. He weathered the storms and kept his cool.

With that said I give the slight edge to Anderson, but just like last fight I'm not going to write off Weidman like mostly everyone else did.

Weidman ain't land nothing that Anderson didn't serve up to him on the feet.

That being said he did maul him on the ground in the 1st round.

Hopefully this fight tuns out to be a more true representation of their abilities.

IDK if maul is the correct word...

I want to see a motivated Spider make a statement hopefully he learned from his mistake and will leave the bs at the gate Weidman already showed if you come in there playing him like a chump you'll be taking a nap, Weidman's confidence should be thru the roof

He was landing bombs until he sat back for that submission attempt.

Watched the flashback show on FS1 last night, got me hyped up for the rematch.

Weidman was landing solid shots on the ground before he went for the sub.

Expecting Anderson to come out showboating again and catch Weidman to avenge his loss.

Been ready for this fight since the first one mean.gif

Anderson via decapitation Saturday night. It ends no other way. Heading out to bdubs with some friends, it's gonna be hectic there as usual, especially during a Anderson fight.

Anderson can't go out like this, if he loses twice to Weidman it'd ruin his whole legacy to me. Should it ruin his legacy? Hell no, but to me it would. Come on spider, gonna need you to come with it. I still want him to go after Jon jones
post #199 of 34121
Anderson is 38 and has been fighting for a loooooooooong time. No way would another loss ruin his legacy IMO. Weidman is the future at MW whether he beats Anderson again or not.

In all fairness he said to him personally it would ruin Anderson's legacy.

To me it wouldn't. Like above said he's 38 and defended that title for waaay too long. Now if he keeps fighting after and keeps getting smoked then maybe yeah.

Not ruin in the sense that he is a fraud or anything, more like I wish he could go out on top and kicking ***

It was aired on Fox Sports 1, so if that's not allowed then I have a lot of questions.

I don't think Anderson wants to lose, but I don't think he wants the responsibilities of being champion anymore, so I really have no idea what to expect. Personally, I hope Silva demolishes him.
If Anderson keeps his hands up, he wins. Simple as that smokin.gif
post #207 of 34121
Video is taken directly from UFC's YouTube channel which has also uploaded their first fight among others. I don't see any problem with these videos as UFC wants people to be watching/talking about this fight.

Edit: Just read that Khabib v Melendez is happening at UFC 170 :eek

Watch the blog they have on the UFC channel on Youtube, behind the scenes at UFC 167

Khabib opened as the slight favorite. Surprises me. Took Bendo to the distance. War with Nightmare. Championship experience and well-rounded. Better cardio.

Khabib's wrestling is nasty and Russians don't play, but I like Gil in a decision.
