The MMA Thread: DON'T ASK 4 STREAMS & NO GIFS- UFC 300 ON NOW

In other news, I keep reading about nick vs Chael for 205

Yawwwwwnnnnnnn

Folks really want to see Chael lay on nick for 25 minutes???

Nick vs condit. Condit won't run this time, I feel he took offense to the reaction he got with the game plan

How is cyborg stupid? Lol

As you said money talks. She's still with invicta too I believe, so she can switch back and forth as needed

Stupid because she is now fighting useless fights. She will never be a UFC champion unless the UFC opens up 145 for her. She strikes me as someone who rather be champion than making a huge amount of money. However, I didn't know she was double dipping with UFC and Invicta. I take back my comment.

I refuse to believe that someone can't lose an additional 5 lbs and still be healthy. Your body will adapt to it. It's not like she looks malnourished.

That's a cop out on her part.

And for the men if you have to cut so much damn weight for the weigh in why don't you just fight at your natural weight?

The weight classes in combat sports are just absurd. 5 and 10 lb differences. Same in boxing. If you can't whip someone's *** because they weigh TEN FREAKING POUNDS more than you then you aren't as good as you think you are.

Women carry more fat and less water than men so its actually harder for them to lose weight, even unhealthy. She was already crying because of her brutal cut to 140 but shes copping out cause she can't lose another 5 pounds?

Honda ain't a draw with no belt, so UFC won't pay Cyborg enough money to go down to 135.

Honda scared and Dana is protecting her.

I guarantee if Dana put like $200k on the table Cyborg would make 135

Ain't no thang for Honda to fight at 140 or 145 either, she just shook

a person can only cut so much. all that weight drop aint healthy. she would be depleted come fight night

that's why i dont even know if conor would make 145 anymore. it would be about a yr since he fought at that weight if he was to defend that belt. probably been walking at 170-180 ever since

Conor been eating good

Hope all that added muscle won't gas him

It will gas him. Just like the first fight. Which is why he needs a completely different game plan, pretty much the opposite of what he did in their first fight

Pacing himself is key along with not focusing so much on boxing and power shots

Yeah, Conor said he would come in leaner and lighter for the rematch. Still believe he'll have decent power for Diaz but a lot more mobility and won't get gassed out as quick.

I don't care what weight Connor is, if he stands and throws hands with Nate, same outcome.
Half of his shots to ante should have been kicks and Body shots. A guy who had a 10 day camp wouldn't have any wind after eating about 10 hard shots to tho body.
Connor CAN Win with a great game plan. If he reverts to one shot Connor, he'll get walked thru Again.

Just saw on espn that Connor said he spent 300k on his camp for this fight.

Agreed. Conor can absolutely win this fight. It will not, to the dismay of many "fans", be the fight they want to see. It's going to be the antithesis of the last fight. a lot of movement, kicks, and avoiding exchanges in the pocket with Nate.

the oblique kicks and roundhouse to Nate's lead leg are there all day. the front kick and spinning back kick to the body, too.

I am a Diaz bros fan, so I aint mad if Conor tries to reuse his strategy from the last fight and Nate whoops his *** again.

The only way he wins if he catches Nate slipping or he point fights. His dumb self didn't lame it out. All he had to do was follow the RDA formula and chop his legs. Circle in and out, reduce his mobility.

You're not going to knock out a Diaz Bro (but never say never). I remember someone saying they'd bet for Nate before the first fight based on the odds. I'd bet on Connor laming it out based on the spread from earlier this week.

And Browne is stepping in smh. I don't see how the rematch doesn't go any better for Travis.

They should have gotten Cain or JDS. Both also rematch but much better match ups.

If conor tries to stay on the outside and outpoint nate with leg kicks and body shots....

I feel like nate just going to take him down an drown him. Conor has no game plan for the ground.

Nate know its money in the bank on the ground.

I feel like people overlook Conor's jiu jitsu. It may not be on the same level as Nate but it is rock solid.

He did sweep Nate but then again if you watch closely, Nate let him have it so he could pull guard

He had a tired mendes on top of him and was asking the ref to stand them up. I forgot how he got up but he eventually did and stopped beta boy mendes.
