Damn I just read what happened. If I'm 100% honest I've never been into MMA for this reason.

Random story, but ages ago (like almost 15 years ago) I was watching some random sports show and they showed some kickboxer getting his standing leg snapped. It sounded like a baseball bat breaking and dude fell to the floor instantly....I was scared for life.

Whenever I've joined my friends to watch a fight I was always on edge throughtout thinking it could happen, (yeah I'm soft I know). Although I enjoyed their first fight, thankfully I didn't join my boys tonight to watch this live.

Best of luck to Silva though, what a way to go out (last two fights). :smh:

How so tho bro? I mean that's his thing though bro. His antics baited opponents, unnerved them, it was a tactic that helped him immensely throughout his career. How does Weidman get discredited for beating Silva while Silva fought how he always fought?


Makes zero sense to me.

I'm saying.. Even though I wanted my dude Anderson to ko that bastard so bad.

Weidman has earned it.. He did what no one in the Ufc has done. Not once but twice.. The first one was whatever he took advantage of openings Silva gave him and this one he checked a leg kick what he was supposed to do.

I enjoyed watching Rousey getting tagged by Tate. Miesha should've kept it standing instead of going for those takedowns when she had her on the feet.

So you're telling me that his KO victory over Anderson was a fluke but Anderson snapping his leg and losing wasn't a fluke? I'm super drunk but this doesn't make sense haha.

I hope Cruz makes a valiant effort regardless if he wins or loses. I feel so bad for him and his misfortune with his knees.

Mir Overeem are both sort of meh to me now. Just big names but not very much substance. Reem still has crazy power but he gasses so quick and is very stiff. Not very fun to watch him fight TBH. Mir has a glass jaw, well they both have glass jaws.
 
Ronda Rousey fine ***....

I had no problem with what Ronda did, she even had good things to say about her after the fight, but you not gon shake nobody hand that's been blatantly disrespecting you. She said that Tater was talking ill of her fam (I don't know what was said), that's grimey. Say what you want about the person themselves, but once you speak on somebody's fam, that's crossing the line. I know me, personally, would also not have shaken her hand, can't be talking all that **** then expect to be homies after a fight, where y'all from that thinks that that's acceptable? :smh:

Jessica Eye deserves Ronda next if she beats Alexis Davis.

I love Miesha like a fat kid loves cake. Showed heart, fought off dangerous sub attempts. Ronda's judo and BJJ are too good. Hate her or not.

Any true fight fan will hate to see Anderson writhing in pain. That's not the way to go. I'm afraid this could be the last we see of Spider.

Anybody calling Weidman's two wins over Anderson a fluke is not knowledgeable or just a Silva stan. His wrestling is elite. Dangerous with BJJ. Pop is his hands. He dominated the first round and almost finished Anderson. Even though Silva pulled a Condit with activity and strikes off his back.

Yeah man it's definitely no treat for Cruz having to defend his title against Barao. Two ACL surgeries, Two years away from the sport........


Fair to wonder if he'll be the same fighter he used to be. I wonder if his footwork will be as crisp. His ability to feint, draw guys in and counter was a major part of his game.
 
By not taunting, it looked like Anderson swung too much the other way and was really indecisive and unsure. First time I'd ever seen Anderson look like that. He had no hop in his step, no movement, no swagger. Even when he was getting dominated by Sonnen he still had that pop in his step and that signature Anderson movement. It was really sad actually to see.
