SO say Anthony Davis and Kyrie Irving were freshmen this year....

Lmao Parker and Wiggins before Kyrie? cmon now.

I'd take Marcus Smart over anybody this year as of right now.

Dont let Kyrie slow start fool ya

You seem to forget that 2011 was considered a weak draft by the draft "experts".

You don't get the thread, your comparing NBA Kyrie to players that are still in college while everybody else is comparing him to other players based off what he did in college and potential at that time.

Okay, so by your logic then, Kyrie would be a Sr right now. right?

Ok, look at his numbers he put up at the peak of his short career so far (last 25-30 games of last season) and compare that to the college level. Now add the pieces Duke had around him and Kyrie would be putting up insane numbers.

I understand the thread but you have to account for kyrie and AD production in the NBA right now.

2011 was a weak draft. and I remember most people (Including myself) was not too high on Irving. I mean, we barely saw him in college due to his injuries.

Remembering the hype around players, I would go like this:

1. Parker
2. Davis
3. Wiggins
4. Randle
5. Irving

OP, why those two players in particular?

No you clearly don't "Say Anthony Davis and Kyrie Irving are freshman"

I didnt read the title fully, my fault. but still, I cant help but be biased towards Anthony Davis and Kyrie because of how well they're doing in the NBA at the moment.

Kyrie with this current duke roster as a freshman, he would be unstoppable. Same with Davis at UK.

Thats why I still would pick them 1-2

IDK it was just the two that were brought up in our discussion and because Kyrie and AD were recent hyped prospects.

I remember experts were saying Kyrie wasn't deserving of the top pick and he was picked first due to a weak class.

Soooo.....are you insinuating that they were wrong, or simply telling us that you remember them?

How many drafts in the last ten years would Kyrie have gone first? Maybe two? Some of which he probably wouldnt have even been a top 3-5 pick. Saying Kyrie went first overall because the draft class was incredibly weak is absolutely true.
