Why dont nfl superstars form superteams?

NFL players have a shorter career lifespan. Some positions like runningback, a guy is deemed old at age 30 while 30 for an NBA player is considered in their prime still.

Nonguaranteed contracts in the NFL. You sign a 5 year deal in the NBA your getting all your money. You sign a 5 year deal in the NFL its not out the question to only play out 2 of those years and get cut.

The NBA is more of a players league. Less players and the key ones have more impact whereas the NFL for the most part is system based.

While I could see a dude late in his career in the NFL ring chasing if a big deal isn't offered elsewhere, it makes more sense for them to try and get as much money as possible that they can in the short timeframe they have.

You don't hear much about retired NBA players still in pain from hits they took in their career. Its some NFL players that are beaten and broken down by the time their career ends. With it being a much more physical game, you might as well get the most possible money you can get.

A better superteam comparison question would've revolved around baseball. No salary cap and some teams that like to spend money. Yankees/Dodgers come to mind.

Weren't the Eagles supposed to be a superteam back when they signed Nnamdi a few seasons ago?

LOL.

In the NBA, you're only playing 5 guys at a time. In the NFL, you're playing 5 guys.... and 6 more

Miami Heat made a big 3. 3/5 is 60%. Take that to the NFL, 60% is 6-7 dudes.

Then u factor in that you play an entirely different 11 guys when your team doesn't have the ball, so you really need a solid 22 man group to win it all.

It's just real hard to get THAT many people on the same page

First of all...This isn't 5 on 5.

Second of all...AP has been in the playoffs a few times and had his chance at SB, but he fumbled at the goalline in the NFCCG. And in the NFL they can just as easy make the playoffs again next year. He hasn't wasted away in Minnesota. Dang you.

Contracts are also handled differently in the NFL.
Without AP we are nothing lol. Positions sometimes build off of each other, and in most cases trans don't need a ton of superstars to be successful.
