2014-2015 NCAA / NFL Gear

Soccer cleats tend to be lighter. Anybody have any experience playing American football in soccer cleats?

I have tried soccer cleats on numerous occasions and I hated it each time and wondered why i gave them another shot. I am a really shifty type with a track backround. The missing part of the spikes in the very front limits my traction severely when starting my stride or digging to change direction while already at a high rate of speed.

Why is this news lol

It isn't really news. Nobody said it was. This is a thread for football gear and these are different then any pair that I could find that have been released. Figured people might want to see the small difference.

Found a pair of nike vapor jet 3.0 gloves on eBay white with a leather palm..,thinking about getting them. What's so good about the palm being leather ?

They look like Nike Vapor Jets just without the "NIKE" or team logo inside the palms.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong...You'll see on NFL team issued Nike gloves that the palms will have either the team logo or a different design (like the one shown) because the word 'Nike' is not approved to be visible on equipment.

Question. I have an authentic Univ of Michigan jersey, and I want an authentic typeset (letters) for it. Anyone know how to pull that off?

Figured if anybody knows, it would be somebody here. Thank you!

Anyone else find it odd that no NFL players (unless I missed some) wore the Vapor Ultimates? Wonder why...

I was thinking the same thing. I was looking for them, hoping to see what they look like in a new color-way.

I am assuming that they really cannot be that durable; one hard cut by a 300 pound lineman right into the toebox and that Flyknit material might just rip right out. Nike must think they have failed already, on sale for 187.97 on NDC right now.

I think that price point is clearly way too high, but these cleats are certainly not meant for any D lineman to be wearing. Def a speed position cleat only.

You misunderstood me man, I meant that a D lineman making a cut with another cleat, INTO the toebox of this Flyknit cleat, I feel would rip it.

Just my two cents but I think guys aren't wearing these because they are heavier then the VC14's. No upgrade at all to choosing the Ultimates in fact it is a downgrade.

Still haven't tried on a pair but if these keep dropping in price I might pick up a pair.

I didnt even look at the weight. If the flyknit cleat is heavier than the VC's then what is the point of the Flyknit?

I checked out the pics from yest and Cruz wore the VC 2014s, not the Ultimates. Really curious what the reasoning is - I don't think the weight is a big difference.

I like how the silver Ultimates look in person, but Nike would only offer me $80 for my once-worn 2014s so I'm sticking with the 2014s.
