DRIZZY OFFICIALLY JOINS TEAM JORDAN

Damn, this has to be a major dookie on the face for North's dad.

Why? I would think Kanye is getting more money than Drake is for this, not to mention Kanye gets to design shoes. We still arent sure if Drake will get to do that.

I'm with you on not being a fan of this latest news. JB is all about money talks, More young bloods or who ever is a Drake fan will now buy J's. IMO He shouldn't be on the team just for the fact that he rocked Fakes before he started from the bottom to the top. There's sum people who can't afford J's but they also wouldn't even dare to rock a fake pair.

Not too excited about this move. Im expecting a few OVO colorways, maybe some alternate materials for existing retro models. But I don't think they are going to give him his OWN shoe like Kanye got...

Good.

I hope his shoes generate all the hype and attention.

Thus,

making OG colorways easier to get.

UNDERSTAND, JORDAN RETRO SNEAKERS WILL NEVER EVER BE "EASY" TO GET NO MATTER WHETHER OG COLORWAY OR NOT. I still don't get why most of you don't realize that. I was turned on to that fact when their were hundreds upon hundreds in line for the White & Royal Blue Jordan 10's that came out last year. Majority of people will beast over any and everything now. If it's an OG colorway it's gonna even be harder. :smh: If the shoe doesn't sell out the same day rest assured it's gonna sell out within a week or less. Lastly, if you have to wake up early or device a plan it isn't an easy cop. An easy cop is walking in the store with no lines, nor waiting and buying a shoe, that today is almost non existent in the world of retros.

JB is smart. Im not a drake fan, but I don't expect Jordan to keep catering to guys that only want shoes Jordan actually played in. They see how crazy everyone is going over bel air type shoes and other trends that were considered feminine when I was a teen. I can't think of a better posterchild.

I understand why it was done but don't support it. All this is going to do is generate a new audience to Jordan brand, aka more hypebeasts. It's bad enough that 23 song is out there and you have these kids that couldn't tell you a thing about the shoes. Now you're going to see everybody wearing Jordans, more so than at this very moment, especially in lame colorways (ex: neon, pink, etc.) It's beyond being a basketball head at this point and it won't ever be the same. /rant

Nike needed to sign someone to replace Kanye West. Plain and simple.

I think this is probably more of an answer to Adidas/ Reebok snatching up hip-hop artist over the past couple years. I hate to bring up Kanye but I think he was right when he said that kids today aren't looking at athletes anymore to see who's wearing the new "hot" shoe. Artist and Celebrities now dictate the marketplace for new trends and they are the people who the youth look toward. Solid move by JB imo. I wish Nike would have wised up when they had the chance.

This is the first rapper, but not the first musician.

I forget his name, but there was a jazz saxophonist that was signed to the brand around the time the xvii's released.

I remember getting a cd with the black/silver colorway package.

Anyways... Those PE's are clean

Not the biggest Drake fan, but interested to see what JB will do with him.

Those 10 and 12 PE's are fire regardless.

Michael Phillips. MJ sign's anybody he thinks is cool at the moment. Play your cards right and you might get a contract from the Bobcats . But this is different this time around. It's not like Drake hasn't already been a billboard for JB already. I guess he helped push enough hype they decided to make it official. Either way, it waters down sneaker culture in my eyes. Just like rap, it's ultra mainstream and now gone.

Lol not everything is realated to kanye. As the biggest drake fan here, Drake is not replacing kanye. And nike doesnt need no one to replace kanye.

now they just need to get fabolous & big boi to sign (to get all the celebs that rock fakes under the umbrella)

Iam sorry I don't see anything special about these plain @&& kicks, drake involved or not.. I guess another marketing scheme by jb, maybe the newer generation will feed into it..but I'll pass, could be nike looking for a way to replace yeezy, timing seems coincidental, or is it!

. Agreed bro.. And I do believe nike doesn't need to replace yeezy, but it's still business,an I doubt they will stand by an watch Adidas snatch up all the big names in hip hop an they not get a piece.. Cause at the end of day it all competition between corporation... not interested in yeezy' or these drake edition pack , but I would like to see what differences this will make within the sneaker culture an with companies
