Man loses $100,000 on a $5 parlay, because a player stepped out of bounds

Many Pittsburgh Steelers fans were despondent when they found out receiver Antonio Brown stepped out of bounds inside the 15-yard line on the final play of the game against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. Brown looked to score the game-winning score on miraculous final play that would have sent Steelers Nation into an absolute frenzy. It wasn't meant to be, though, and one person has a legitimate reason to be disappointed after the result cost him nearly $100,000.

The Dolphins caught a break and escaped with the 34-28 victory.

If Pittsburgh had won, the unnamed fan would not have had to worry about the Dallas Cowboys-Chicago Bears game on Monday Night Football. The fan made—at least—two $5 bets, only changing his pick for Monday night's game

Parlays are sucker bets past a 3!teamer so I have no sympathy on how some lost 1 game on their 15 team parlay

seriously not that suprising. a parlay will always find a way to blow up, its actually pretty suprising that he was that close to hitting in general. Its gambling for a reason, your money is on the line and ANYTHING can happen.

BTW he didn't lose 100k, he only lost what he wagered which is $10 if I'm seeing this correctly.

I agree, but when you can risk $5 to win 100K, you bet that every weekend, all season long, for the rest of your life. No reason not to. Way better odds than a lottery ticket...

This week I bet (2) 3 team parlays and won 1. I was feeling really confident and played a 6 team. I never do that. Bet $25 and the payout was 1,028.xx. Won every game except OAK +3. :smh:

$5 though for 100K? Every weekend. Hell, a $10 (9) team bet will pay you $4,500...

A lot of you guys have no sympathy for this man and it should be like that. **** happens. I just find it a little funny that this was considered news.

If Antonio Brown had stayed in bounds and scored touchdown. That scoring play would have been reviewed and overturned since Ben Roethes(?)burger made a illegal forward pass. They woulda lost anyway.

He wouldn't of lost 100k because more people would have had Pittsburgh to win

Nvm this isn't a pools type payout

Wasn't there like 6 other CLOSE games that went in his favor though? You really can't look at things in the manner that he is.

I was two numbers away from the Powerball over the summer and only walked away with $98.

So what though? I didn't lose, I made $96. Got my girls slurpees and balled out at the 7-11 like a boss. Snack game was heavy at the park that day.

The moral is, there is no moral. It's called gambling and the odds aren't in our favor.
