So me and my group of friends have long discussions regarding these individual players. I want to know what you, NT sports and training, think about the players, the situation they currently are in, etc.

I think Kyrie is a very good player but he ain't about that championship aka team play while lillard is a beast that gets everybody involved while doing it in a very efficient manner. Might be able to turn into a top 10 NBA player alongside Paul George...

P.S. Kyrie is gonna turn into the next carmelo ;0
 
both of them are the same in that they're scorers and not actually good point guards, check their low assist numbers.  Kyrie has nasty handles so he's better at attacking the basket while Lillard is the better shooter with his stroke.  
 
You don't Lillard becoming a true PG that can score when needed? I think at his current level he has a solid balance. Kyrie has handles over him and thats all I see..
 
Dame, like OP mentioned - easier to build around for a championship squad. It'll probably take a max contract to keep Kyrie around (his scoring, fans, attendance, popularity, etc.) and Dame can be kept for a Rondo sized contract. But who knows, maybe Dame goes HAM and you'll need a max to keep him around but as of right now thats the projection i see.

p.s. nothing to do with skills set et all but looking at the bigger picture, Kyrie been missing some games in every season hes been in the L.

Can't go wrong with either... Kyrie has been dealing with injuries and both can improve defensively.


I'd take John Wall over both of em doe
 
I think Lillard is more likely to succeed as the prototypical PG.  For all Kyrie's talents, I'm not a fan of the score-first, score-second, score-third model of PG if you are trying to build a winning team.

Yeah I agree with almost everything said in here.. I appreciate the input and will be bumping this when blazers get into the 2nd round
 
Team Lillard obviously but not because he's better, I just prefer his game a little bit more and he plays for my team haha. Dame is better at some things and kyrie is better at some things. I don't really like Dames personality and his defense is offensive. He shoots the three pretty well (not so great lately) and he's very good at attacking the rim and finishing. He never seems flustered or in a rush, and doesn't ever seem to force anything. Just basically plays it cool like fonzi and runs the team like a PG should.

If it's true that Kyrie is disliked by his team mates for being a chucker and a ball hog and basically playing YOLO, then I don't really like his personality either haha. Kyrie shoots the ball well also, and can do anything he wants with the ball. He's quicker than lillard and has better ball handling skills. I think Kyrie has more upside. What I mean by that is, I feel he has the chance to be unstoppable. Like A.I. in his prime type unstoppable, but that has nothing to do with wins.

Kyrie.....his handle and jumpshot alone will be able to carry him IMO
 
I'd Take Irving over Lillard, but it's close. They're similar in production, but Lillard has more talent around him for sure, which is also a factor.
 
Kyrie is a great freestyle player. The type that'd destroy you in pickup. I'd rather have Dame if I'm building an NBA team personally.
