wale is MAD lmfao

Wale thinks hard work automatically means you got a hot album

Last post about this. Again, he shouldn't have thrown a fit over this, but if some of you understood the friction b/w the two parties that runs years back, you'd understand his gripe.

You can't force cats to like you Wale
Thats wale's biggest problem his "versatility " is almost his biggest weakness due to the fact he's obviously the, "i want everyone to like me" type of person.

Dig DUg X Uptown Roamers X Nike boots X Gucci on a go go beat = DMV most likable wale

9th wonder tape X 100 miles and running X Nothing tape X Mark Ronson = backpacker most likable wale

no hands wale x lotus flower X thisWay x MMG = Mainstream Most likable wale

if he could find away to cleverly blend all these together with out it sounding forced = classic album < but lets be serious

Interesting...

What nobody is mentioning in here is the Valid points of Complex taking extreme parts of Hi-hop culture and exploiting it... From them, to Fader, to other blogs/publications it seems like they are strongly grasping a "VOICE" in hiphop that is being dictated by Hipster cats who aren't anywhere close to the culture and don't realize the power their dumbass comments and opinions go. They have been the leading force in LIL B, Riff Raff, and other "Joke Rap" that constantly clutters their list and blogs they show clear favoritism to things that make a mockery of rap and slowly tell their viewers that this is the new "IN" thing then turn around and call a Wale or a Jay-z album below par while giving a migos mixtape a top 50 placement.

most of them blogs caved in to the money......can't knock it.....but if you let a blog influence your musical taste then idk what to say lol

I don't know if you haven't noticed this or not but a LARGE majority of America has trouble thinking for themselves why do you think companies spend Billions upon billion yearly on marketing... people rely heavily on what their told to like, from music to clothing, to TV shows.

Hell just follow a NT thread on a new album and watch how usually the first two reactions dictate whether or not positive reviews or negative reviews will be indicated in that exact thread.

To the Juicy J references, I just can't take that seriously. Putting his most recent album above almost anything sounds like a mockery to me. You can be around forever and never be a legend. Granted three six had some hits.

Wale's "The Gifted" was actually a great album, it catered to almost every category.

My opinion.

i wonder if he ever thinks , maybe ur just not THAT good b . . .

i could imagine the frustration , but the outburst and the way he went about it was extremely corny . that phone call didnt call for that .

This whole situation reminds me of the Raptors game earlier in the year

My dude looked heated at the end . "He's saying hey"

I been saying this.

It's quite obvious what demographic pushes troll rappers to certain levels.

Although the Migos slander is not appreciated.

Yeah that Migo's mixtape.......don't put that in with the buffonery of Lil B, Riff Raff, etc. That ish hits.... :smokin

Well, Migos does have a couple songs with Riff Raff, including one of their best ones ("Sorry").

Wale suffers from the same thing Kanye suffers from. They don't know how to get their point across w/o sounding like a lil *** kid.

This. Nipsey Hussle already called 'em out for that ****. I can't lie, I like some of Complex stuff but some of it is a joke.

It's COMPLEX magazine at the end of the day anyone who takes them serious is already off to a bad start

I can't speak on riff raff but wale ain't give birth to no swag. Lil b changed the game weather u want to admit it or not. The migos were more important than wale this year becuz of the cultural significance of their tape. All my ygs bump them nikkas and how many rappers used the "migos flow" this year. Joke rap? Rap as a genre was a joke when it first came out until big business saw its profit potential

No disrepsect to your lil' homies but man Lil B is buffoon rap. I don't judge nobody for liking what they like. Its all subjective. But Lil B is out there playing. He ain't rapping or real lol. So I can't respect it from that aspect of it.

Wale made a dope album but it came and went. It didn't have that lasting effect that I believe he thinks it did. Its a dope record. It was great after the first listen. But for me it didn't have the replay value of J. Cole or even Ye and Jay's albums.

And to be honest, as far as impact goes? I felt that Migo's mixtape and Juicy's album had more of a impact than that Wale album did.

^ I didn't say lil b was sum rap genius. Like I said u might not want to admit it. But a lot of people who have been signed in recent years needs to giv lil b royalties. I only hav birth of rap and I'm god in my iTunes so I'm not even really a fan of His.

What did he do? I'm clearly missing it lol. I've never heard anyone sound like this guy in my life lol. Maybe Soulja Boy jacked his style somewhat?
