The reason they feel cheap and synthetic is just that, they are cheap and synthetic LOL. @chronicsneaker i felt the same way when i looked at mine but ay man it is what it is

yeah i agree 88's were premium sneakers as reflected with the price tag and shouldn't be compared; however, the quality on these compared to recent GR 3 releases are much worse in my opinion .

havent goten these in yet, but honestly dont see much of a quality diffrence between 88s and TB3 2011 and the fire red 3's that came out last year.. i have all three and all of them are pretty comparable.

well if you haven't gotten them or haven't had them in your hand, you won't be able to tell. There is a HUGE difference in these and the 88's and TB's, and i own them all

really like these.. so much was contemplating getting a 4th pair. had the 9, but i just cant risk dropping 205without seeing them first. my luck it would be some fugazi ***** looking pair

Yeah, I don't think it was that the 88's were premium. It was Nike Air, that's what made it premium. Can't call it premium, when what was retroed in 2001 was better.
88's > fire reds > true blues

There must be large variation in the shoes people get. I thought the 88's quality was pretty high and the TB's pretty low. Those to me were very plasticky. I haven't received these yet to comment but I assume they fall I between the 88's and TB's.

This, my pair was 130 flat. Would have gladly paid retail but my friend through me an oop. This colorway is classic. The translucent sole bothered me a bit but it's ok. My only real gripe is the nubuck use instead of leather. These could have easily been an OG colorway. Want to seea blue 11 with this outsole one day

I just got my pair in from shoepalace. I am happy with them. I like these a lot. I am also happy I was able to buy these since I haven't bought a pair of J's for retail since I think the Motorsports VI. I'm also happy that the elephant print on both my pairs are similar unlike some of the other pairs I've seen on here. I think I'm going to get a second pair.

How did the Black Flip 3s fair in the states? I'm not sure if they're considered premium but they sure do feel like it with the all leather sock liner, all leather tongue, no paint problems with the heavy use I've put them through... I bought them from Nike Stadium in the Philippines and they cost the same as any other retro that drops there (roughly $190).
