It's hard to point out where and when baggy clothes started out. It could've been way down in the souf or somewhere up nawf. But I can tell you the baggy pants died when Pharrell imposed his style on the hip hop culture of which Lil Wayne ran with. As Op said all fashion is cyclical and would be surprised somewhere in the distant future that Girbaud would make a return.
 
As a kid, I disliked wearing any type of long pants in the late 80s & early 90s, and only wore fitted jeans when I had to.  I admit though that I was one of the many that wore baggy jeans in the mid 90s that covered almost my entire foot as I made the transition to high school. Early 2000s is when the whole designer label denim started and made the transition into a more fitted/worn/vintage look (remember the jeans Usher, Sean Paul, and Jay-Z used to wear? Super worn look with that faded/wash look in the front).  

I agree that the styles are more of a generational thing than a racial/ethnicity. We all tend to follow the trend, regardless of race-ethnicity.  

Let's get back to the shoes please.

Anyone who already has their pair know about the sizing? I assume it will be like the ferrari 14's and fit a half size big ?
 
I never said anything about white people inventing anything. Jewish people invented jeans, hence Levi Strauss(the inventor), Ralph Lauren, Calvin Kline, Marc Jacobs, Mark Ecko, are all Jews not whites. All I was saying was that black people use to make fun of white folks for wearing tight jeans and I seen it for years and I made fun of them too. I know what I saw, I was there. U or nobody else can tell me otherwise. Especially when I was born, raised, and reside in the most predominant black city in america

Stick with the normal size u get with retro Jordan's. Hearing that these are tts and roomy for the wide footers

but I plan on going to Finishline to use the $20 off. Hopefully they'll be easy to get.

I used the raffles as a back up just in case.

And now, I clearly recognize the differences:

- Lower Grade of Leather/Not even

- Longer Tongue

- Wider stitching area on the Upper that holds Lacing System

- No Pearl finish along Midsole

- Nubuck Toe instead of OG Suede Toe

- Brighter Red at Top of the Heel compared to the Deep Ox Red on the OG (Texture possibly different)

- Inner Collar is now mesh textured

With all that said, it's a game-time decision, but I'm leading towards the Copp... Nostalgia is winning me over.

RD decision for me too.  If I can grab off FNL with WC rewards then that's a win.

So the inner lining is not that neoprene material anymore? Thats what it was on the og correct?

I know the og had thick memory foam in the ankle part right? Probably not anymore huh?
 
These will sit a couple hours before selling out. I don't blame you for using your FNL rewards. You should get through. This forum is only at 31 pages on release week plus the markets are flooded with these. All major chains plus mom and pop stores are getting these.

I believe this. I put my name in for the raffle tonight at my local HoH, which was the last night for raffle entries. There were literally 15 people total who signed up, and this is a pretty big Jordan market

They look pretty good in person. We all know that ther gonna always change something from OG too Retro, too Re-retro.

The first time these retroed they were nothing compared too the OG look. They were just like the so called "Candy Canes" with the 

perferated holes on the mid side. Yes I know they're not exactly OG "Re-Mastered" AJ but better than the first go around.

Nah, from the new pics... I'm pretty sure it isn't. 

That's one of the things I noticed was different from jump, bc the OG Inner lining was PLUSH & Firm. Another part of the "Tank" Upper I was talking about.

Jordan Brand Retro's are truly the "Cut Corners" versions of their Predecessor.
