I doubt that's why they didn't use it. If they cared about how the shoes looked with age they would have kept the same or even perfected icy soles to where they didn't yellow so fast like they do now. It's more likely that they just didn't feel like it and it was simpler to not use it. they knew these would sell regardless

Ok this is the second time I've seen the tongue on this year's 14s looking HORRIBLE. There was a pic in the black/yellow thread that disgusted me. These pics are making me think twice about doubling up

What the socks thing? All my xiv pull my socks down. It's actually very common. None are 2014 retros. I don't have this colorway at all

Ive had the sock pulling done on the penny 1 which is extremely annoying and fila hill 3 but never on my xiv's

It wasn't just the white/black pair. My of black/red 14 are sticky as well. I just clean them with alcohol. It comes back though. Don't know what jb used for them to be sticky though. On another note, I can still wear them with no soles crumbling. I took th paper out so it doesn't stick and used plastic in the box so it doesn't stick.

Not just 14's. Many Jordan's pull my socks down. 1,3,4, 2009 and 2010 just to name a few

Why must they fault some shoes and give other shoes the exact thing they faulted another shoe on???? I just don't get it. If they can do this to these, why can't they do it to shoes that are actually supposed to have it?
Damn it....now I cannot unseen that tall *** tongue. The OG had the tongue above the rear collar, but not like that. :x

I'd prefer the OG height tongue but the height on these new ones doesn't bother me at all, except for the fact it doesn't stay true to the OGs. Still an all in go for me on these.

I figured the problem was the ankle socks. Switched to crew socks and it solved the problem

well if they are talking about sock pulling like the penny 1 which really is a terrible fitting shoe, they mean the fit has the effect or feeling of your shoe coming off or being stuck to the ground
a few shoes have this fit and the most noticeable is the penny 1
so its not really sock pulling its the fit of the shoe. most believe its due to the poor ankle fit caused by the weird position of the lace holes
i have not had this problem with my og xiv although i lace my shoes up all the way and tight

yea its a totally different tongue. ogs slant and end
the 2014 xivs slant but then are sewn straight up and long
not sure whats the deal with jordan retros and tongues
made the black cement iv tongue hella long then make the v and especially the vi shorter
now the xiv is longer

This toe box looks just like the janky *** last shots. Only thing better about this is the whole upper is pleather rather than the cardboard material that they also put on the inner upper part of the shoe like the toe box. I just can't get down with the execution. I been lurking to some pictures to sway my thoughts because this is a classic shoe no doubt. Even peeped jstar 25 video and the toe box had hella lint on it so it's apparent I would be wasting my money investing in these. Good luck to all who wanna cop.

excuse the fact that I shot these with my m8 right before my shift started but honestly these look really good in person. Wasn't even interested in them but actually having them in hand and seeing the shoe kind of opened up my mind to em. Wont cop them right off the bat unless they fall into my lap but they are still pretty damn nice.

Cool that might sway me to buy. Btw never seen a pair of ferrari 14s up close. Only ones I can compare are my light graphite and last shots.
