we all know this already but i found something interesting on instagram. it is very suspect.

i follow this guy, insneakers, from china who sells "grey market" fakes. he recently had a restock on bel-air 5s. we all know the sock liner on the bel-air 5s are all suppose to be different and unique. well look at this photo........

all of the sock liners are almost exactly the same. notice the pink "lightning bolts" on the left shoe and they are all in the exact same spot. they are not all different and unique patterns like they are suppose to be.

now look "the sole collectors" restock photo from his  instagram page........

there you go. the same exact pattern as the dude from china who is selling fakes. the pink lightning bolts are in the same exact pattern on the left shoes sock liner. coincidence? i think not since every pair is suppose to have a unique pattern on the sock liner.

Dude, what?
for the bel airs, the sock liners should all be different with each pair. there should be no duplicate patterns on the sock liner. as you can see from the pics, these pairs all have the same patterns on the sock liner.  look at the pink lightning bolts, his pattern is the exact same as the guy from china selling fakes.

Dunno if youre trolling but that is a legit question for sumone who doesnt know lol

Sketchy if you ask me. Every grey market has the same pattern on the liner then The pattern matches the closet collector's pair. Sucks for whoever buys those fake shoes. Nice observation man

I almost got my girl a pair of Concords off him just a few months ago. Then I started researching how he had so many and kept restocking them, and I ran across a bunch of YouTube videos of people saying he sells fakes. Never went back to the site since.

I thought it was well known that the closetcollector sold fakes?
it was even on the news

da closet collector "Donavon Henry" was arrested before for fraud & selling fakes

TPD arrests local man in connection with eBay fraud

The Tallahassee Police Department has arrested a Tallahassee man whom they believe defrauded at least 25 people out of more than $14,000 using eBay and an unsecured wireless router.

Donavon Henry, 20, faces 14 charges of grand theft, 12 charges of petty theft, money laundering and an organized scheme to defraud. He was already in jail for outstanding warrants.

According to police, here is what happened:
Last week, a customer in Massachusetts and another customer in New Jersey contacted the Tallahassee Police Department after they bid on a Sony Playstation 3 game console on eBay, sent money orders to Henry for more than $2,500 combined and got nothing in return.

Investigators found that Henry deposited money orders into his Bank of America account from 36 people between November 2006 and May 2007. Twenty-five of those people did not receive the game console,

Nike shoes or plasma televisions they bid on.One victim got a pair of counterfeit shoes.

The victims were from at least 20 different states and combined sent Henry $14,658. Henry wired $9,000 to his mother's bank account and two other accounts, which constituted money laundering.

When police searched his home at 2700 W. Pensacola St. Apt. 2015 Friday, they seized 179 pairs of Nike shoes, 86 DVD movies and 49 athletic jerseys. Police suspect that most of the items seized were counterfeit. A representative from Nike and the Motion Picture Association of America will respond within two weeks to positively identify the merchandise.

Police remind citizens to never send personal checks or money orders as payment. PayPal is more secure.

Also, "set wireless networks so only they can use it," TPD Sgt. Mark Meadows advised.

People with questions about online bidding or Internet security should call the Tallahassee Police
Department's financial and cyber crimes unit at 891-4556.

Contact reporter Jennifer Jefferson at (850) 599-2243 or jjefferson@tallahassee.com.Investigators found that Henry deposited money orders into his Bank of America account from 36 people between November 2006 and May 2007.

You guys see why I post all my stuff on here, I live in florida these jokers trying to beat ppl in the head all for the love of the swoosh

Only bringing this up because you mentioned him selling on ebay... ebay has been completly flooded with gray market concords and space jams, ive recently called twice on the phone with them for over 30 mins each time. i normally only check sz 7.5 and 8 but when i check now and you can take a look for your self there are very few listings that even come up and the ones that are up at least have yellowed soles. im not saying thats the only way to spot them and im sure there are alot of gray markets up but from me searching now it kind of looks like ebay took it serious and did something about it. im not saying that my calls had anything at all to do with it but i did tell them they need to find some people and assign them to getting the fakes and gm off ebay. i have almost 2300 feedback and im a power and top rated seller and pay them around $2k a month so they may have taken what i had to say to consideration. it would be nice to be able one day to go on and not worry about getting a fake pair.

I heard stories when you order from this guy he never ships your kicks or if he does he takes months to.

Damn im glad i don't have to worry about getting some gm/fakes and having to deal with any of these wannabe hustler shoe resellers. Retail stores and Flightclub.com is the only places i will buy Js. Thats the only way your gonna know for sure. Its a crap shoot everywhere else imo
