22 Jump Street thread (6/13/2014, Redband trailer inside)

This thread was made in december? Gah damn. Saw the movie yeaterday, hilarious! The mid movie twist is really funny

First one was very Dope. I know this second one should be Doper.

Saw this last night. While it's not as good as the first one there's definitely some re-watch value in it. I guess that's expected for any comedy sequel.

these two make a great combo. the first film was awesome, this one looks like it'll be just as good if not better.

Definitely worth the price of admission. Feel as if it was everything you wanted out of a sequel; much better than Hangover 2 (if we are going to play the comparison game).

Hill and Tatum feed off of each other so well, similar to Rogen and Franco. Story was great, hilarious twists and an over-the-top ending that just worked and you couldn't even get mad at it.

-Ice Cube's daughter being Maya :wow: and how Jenko reacted in the office to finding that out.
-Maya in general :smokin
-Schmidt slam poetry
-Jenko had some real ridiculous lines that I gotta re-watch to remember.
-Fight scene with Schmidt and Mercedes (who was really funny for her role, I remember her from Eastbound and Donw)
-The Yang twins

I did find somethings a bit eerie while watching:

-Tracy Morgan joke in the beginning of the movie
-Maya Angelou joke in the middle
-The library scene where Jenko got defensive against the use of the word f***** (ala Jonah Hill and that paparazzi situation)

Obviously filmed way in advance, but just a crazy coincidence for all three references

I loved this damn movie. Funniest flick I've seen this year. Non stop laughs. I have not a single negative thing to say about it. Truthfully I found it funnier than the first.

enjoyed the nods to the first film... berkeley, covalent bonds, etc. kinda wish the nerds had just as big a role in this film as the first

They make a great duo. I'd like to see more movies with this pair.

No! Do not give Hollywood any ideas. They will ruin Tatum/Hill collabs even if it is different movies. Not every good thing needs to be continued.

The end credits pretty much reassure that this series is likely done after 22.

yooo that creeped me out

worth seeing in the theater ... this might be funnier than the first

that end credit sequence :wow:

I loved that 90% of the jokes didn't make it into the trailers, or they didn't give away the setups.

Half-brain Channing is the funniest dude..And Ice Cube.   Funniest scene of the year. "You high-fived him." I was in tears.

Funniest movie since...damn...the first one? Unless you count Wolf. They just hit you with all types of jokes, clever and dumb and visual *******. And the movie flew by. No dead parts. I think anyone who liked the first one is gonna like this. It's not the same movie all over again (Hangover 2 :smh:).

I just wish it coulda kept going.

And there's 2 credit scenes, not just the big one. :nerd:
