BRUH!!!! :wow: :nthat:

You just killed it.

That list is a MUST for anyone that considers himself/herself a fan of hip hop. And I'm proud to say that I owned probably 90% of that list. If I didn't own it I listened to it and/or am aware of it.

Alicia keys isnt versatile enough to be better than beyonce, she has a better voice but she dont know how to switch her style up & when she tries its trash

We gotta get out that mindstate too..

Its not hate at all.

THIS X 100000000000000000000000

Getting paid doesn't make everything acceptable.

Thats exactly what people mean when they say "selling your soul".

Thank you. I've been feeling this way for years now.

I don't care if a ***** is getting paid. If he sucks then he sucks.

If you get past the filler, hip hop is the best it's ever been right now

Stop it. Now.

Well the 90's and early 00's had way more lyrical rappers then we have today
Well the 90's and early 00's had way more lyrical rappers then we have today

Being lyrical is only one aspect, theirs more to hip hop than being lyrical

being lyrical = having good handles, lyricism is overrated, its all about making good music

Name 5-10 rappers right now making good music. Who's names aren't Jay-Z, Eminem, Kanye West (he ain't even making god music anymore.), and haven't come from the 90's/early 2000's...

This whole "being lyrical isn't everything excuse is a cop out to let these subpar ****** come in a release this trash. Yeah lyrical technicality ain't everything, but LYRICS and the message/story behind them are.

And there are less than a handful of new ****** who are doing it on a decent level anymore.

****** making songs about the same **** on every album. Drakes whole damn catalogue is about how he wants to save ******g strippers and how he eats with italians. But this is who ****** are looking to for good music? This is the standard? Cause this dude can make catchy hooks and can hold a note?

**** that ****.

There's more to hip hop than being able to rhyme. And thats all most of these new ****** can do.

Never thought Alicia Keys could sing. She screams too much. Talented on the keys for sure but I hate her struggle voice.

Plus I don't even know if she eats box or not

Krit and Kendrick the best new rappers out.

Come at me brah

Dom, Nipsey, Schoolboy Q, and Freddie Gibbs are that fire too.

Cant be mad at dudes doing something theyre obviously good at, whether you like it or not, if you're gonna hate on the new gen atleast be objective, i swear its gonna be 2020 & dudes still gonna say "thats not hip hop because it dont sound like some 90's ****"

Its not garbage because it doesn't sound like the 90's.

A lot of it is garbage because its garbage.

I know it comes down to personal preference, but just like I said a couple pages ago, ****** look at Kanye as some sort of "genius" because the standards are so ******g low nowadays. The decent music thats actually being put out nowadays is praised to such high regard because 80% of the other **** is garbage.

Kanye says one hot line and he's hailed as some legendary rapper. Drake makes a song thats not about killing a ***** or selling dope and he's some type of fresh air...

People slurp these dudes off too much, and are never really critical of music anymore. There are no standards.

Nobody comes out and judges music anymore. Everything is hot because "he's making money doe". Pathetic.

I'm not saying you should stop liking these dudes, but I'm saying the bar needs to be set higher.

The same way someone said 90's rap is all struggle bars is exactly how I look at our generation right now. Outside of a handful of rappers, all of this **** screams struggle and a bunch of lost should who can't create identities for themselves.

Dudes blast the 90's rappers but then jock ASAP mob who are a blatant rip off a 90's group. Really?

There's a guy from Fayetteville, NC that will body everyone you mentioned...

 Cole is aight. But I'll tell you this, I'm n Fayetteville NUMEROUS times a year. Spring Lake and Fayetteville, where my fam stays, and Cole ain't really popping out there.

Thats not a knock on him or his music, but they aren't really impressed with him either.

I don't smoke anymore, but when I did, I just smoked OG Kush.

Everything else was bull.

But looking back, it was just a waste of money. I'm glad I stopped.

Isn't NC torn between Down south rap and east coast rap?

So its understandable that some dont mess with him like that..

It is, very much so.

Thats why I don't knock him for that. Its all mixed up down there. When I was a kid, I had one cousin who listened to project pat, and another who had dmx tapes.

**** was weird to me.
