ok, lets look at the other extreme, the guys who sit at home and collect free money on the first and 15th and blow what they have on new shoes, and not take care of their future not save a dime, not look for future employment because they're too good to work at walmart. all of a sudden they get sick and cry over how they cant pay for a doctors visit.

spare us the exaggreations please

How do we spare exaggerations yet bring new ones in?

the idea that how much money you or your parents make should be a factor when someones life is on the line is absurd and honestly if its something you or anyone else supports i have no respect for them as a man

this is whats wrong with this country now

oh you dont deserve the same education your parents dont make enough money

oh you dont deserve this life saving surgery since you cant afford it

people are people and should be entitled to the same care and service no matter their financial standing in life

how a creation of man has come to work as a value system for lives is beyond me

money isnt even real and yet it means more than actual people

He posted that exaggeration in opposition to yours to say they're not good arguments to begin with, hence, spare him.

It's not that hard to follow.

You get what you pay for, you can't wear Ralph Lauren on Polo Assn. money. Either way you're still clothed.

super right wing exaggeration that the GOP has been pushing since the 80's

people who believe that clearly have no idea what it's like to: (1.) be unemployed due to physical reasons (2.) live entirely off of 900-1100 a month

Gov't assistance gets you no where near comfortable living yet the right feels people don't even deserve that

it's disturbing to me. We continue to devalue life, yet appreciate fictitious wealth.

well that didnt answer my question at all but ok

I'll never understand the belief that money some how makes you a better person or more deserving of anything

like some lil poor girl from rural Mississippi doesnt deserve a new kidney as much as paris hilton would because paris "worked soo hard for her money"
its not that the rich deserve more, its that if you're the best doctor in the world you deserve more money for your work. there is no way to say a poor person needs a kidney more than a rich person and vice versa, so in order to make the decision the kidney goes to the person who is willing to give the hospital/doctor more in return

It's very good.

I even saw were you stated you "ok, let's start with another extreme"

My point wasn't an extreme.

It is a documented fact that you can see is clearly happening.

All the cash is being sucked out of America and you wanna use some cheap political talking points that have been used over and over.

Ain't no way a dude collecting benefits is hurting anybody more than what corporate welfare is doing to the economy.

I've explored both sides and many other options but please tell me exactly how would you want society to function and operate in a reasonable manner that's actually feasible when it comes to things like this?

Cuz whether it's money or trading for goods since the dawn of civilization this is how things have basically been. Outside of the possible few villages and small communities I don't know of any society that works off of giving ppl what they need because they deserve it.

I'm not saying how things are is the best way for it to be done but it is the way the majority has chosen whether it's completely working for them or not. They believe in this way of life and apparently are satisfied with failing or thriving with it.

You'd basically have to takeover a 3rd world country and run it your way to prove your way is better, more efficient and/or fairest.

What I want to say is hard to post because you won't be able to see or hear how I feel. So I'm guessing, a world where we are all equal, living healthier longer lives, not judging each other by a status, and fixing any other subject that brings separation amongst us as humans is a bad idea?? :smh:

How so?

If anything it's helped.

Fantasy Football has ruined football to an extent tho.
It hasn't ruined sports, but the way we view sports and view these athletes.

I'm not one of those tards that thinks all money is evil.

We basically have a blank check monetary system.

Our money supply needs some value to back it up.

I think this issue is clear with the currency wars going on right now in the world.

The system we have would work fine if it wasn't rigged.

I'm not some wanna be survivalist trying to master living off the grid.

just someone who wants more transparency and truth.

if everyone got payed equally there would be no reason for anyone to work hard and do a good job. if people dont get payed equally the poor would be jealous of the rich and the rich would look down on the poor.

its impossible to make everyone equal and everything fair, but it is possible to raise the standard of living for all social classes and thats what we (as people) have been doing throughout history

On paper, that is exactly what this nation is supposed to be.

But what about technology? Automation? It's gonna make us deal with these issues soon. Especially a post - scarcity society

The Economist talks about "The coming storm" - 47% of today's jobs could be automated within 20 years "No government is prepared for it." Suggests a radical rethinking of education and redistributive taxes towards lower-wage workers
