how does that make any sense?

you do know that he would be in the same league as the guys from 03 regardless of his draft class right?

He would be the first in the draft class to have one if the pistons just said f it & drafted him, probably wouldve beat the spurs in 05 if they had melo as their 6th man

Melo's been playing second his whole NBA career. Now it looks like it's getting to him because it's obvious he's not gonna be the guy to lead a team to a championship, he's gonna have to be a second option but I can't help but wonder what if Melo came into the league a year earlier and he was crowned the "chosen one"? I mean its all subjective but maybe he would've had better pieces around him? I don't know, it was just coming out that draft I thought Melo was a wayyyyyyy more rounded player then lebron. It took about 2 seasons for that gap to close...

but he's underperformed by only making the conference finals once

same thing with CP3 never making it.

if the Clippers don't make it this year I think people are really gonna start looking at his lack of playoff success more closely

Dawg, Melo's fate is his fate. Karl Malone, Charles Barkley, Gary Payton, Reggie Miller, etc were all guys of Melo's caliber, if not greater in some aspects. And they all fell to one man.

Melo is nothing more than the equivalent to that in the Lebron era.

LeBron is a better player because he makes his teammates better. Melo will never be that man. So what he drop 62 points, that doesn't mean ****. Amare had the Knicks playing better basketball than Melo ever had. And when Lin caught fire, Melo couldn't wait to come back to shut him down. Dude is a pre Madonna. Only thing dude won was a national title ...
