Mobb Deep are reuniting for a new album and "The Infamous Mobb Deep" tour, as their second album "The Infamous" hits its 20-year anniversary.

Mobb Deep have been over more than a few rough patches in the span of their career, but they've always managed to come back after. The two members, Havoc and Prodigy, are reuniting in celebration of the 20-year anniversary of The Infamous, not only for a new album, but for a tour.

While talking to the HuffingtonPost, the group revealed their plans for the coming year: a double-disc album set to arrive in the spring of 2014. The first disc will be completely new jams, while the second disc will be a digitally-remastered version of The Infamous, plus ten more joints that have never been heard from the 1995 recording sessions for The Infamous. This new album will be released in conjunction with a North American tour from the duo, kicking off January 10th in San Diego. Tickets will go on sale December 20th.

P spoke on how the two managed to get over the publicity stunt that went down last year. Apparently it's all thanks to the studio."Once you hear the rhymes ... hear the first beat, all the beef is gone," Prodigy said.

Peep the interview below. Check out the full list of tour dates here.

Why is it dropping in the spring of '14 if it's supposed to be the 20 year anniversary of an album that dropped in '95? Interested in hearing these 10 tracks from the original Infamous recordings that never been heard though, one of my top 5 favorite rap albums ever. :smokin

I've been supporting these dudes since The Infamous and have bought damn near all of their albums. I can't say that about any other group. Even own/owned most of their solo work. That said, I'm in.

:smokin

10 unreleased tracks from The Infamous era? :wow:

^some NuMixx Klazzics type stuff

Will look out for this. Both have recently brought their A game on stuff, and you can't go wrong with more than likely Havoc/ALC/Sid Roams beats

Will cop for the 2nd disc. I give no dambs about new Mobb Deep music.

And yeah, I'm willing to bet that at least some of the unreleased stuff will be familiar. Then again, Mobb put in WORK with the bootlegs, white labels and obscure features back in the mid to late 90's. So maybe a lot of it will be genuinely from the vaults.

Edit:  @ those ticket prices. I'd pay $50-75 tops to see these dudes, and $75 is really pushing it considering the small size of the venues they're performing at. $250?

I'm only in it for the 10 unreleased joints. Like Plan said though I hope they're real unreleased joints.

Prodigy sucks now

Dude doesn't rhyme. He just talks, no counting bars or anything, just run on sentences. He's really painful to listen to and just waste beats.

^Prodigy & Alchemist - Albert Einstein

Let's be honest here. Put those bars over some random dude's production and the praise of that album would be much less than what it is. It's a good album, but ALC carried that joint with the drums.

Sorry folks, but dude has been a shell of his former self since the HNIC album. That was the last time I remember dude being the old Prodigy. Go listen to dude go ape **** on "Apostle's Warning" or "Drop a Gem On 'Em" and then compare that to anything after HNIC. He just isn't the same.

And I HATE comparing previous works to new stuff, but his fall off is so blatantly obvious that it makes it tough to stomach the new Prodigy. This is coming from a dude who actually copped Juvenile Hell on tape when it was a new release. In other words, I was an uber Mobb stan for years.

At this point, Havoc >>> Prodigy on the mic (even though Hav has always been really slept on as a rapper).

bookmarked when it happens because i dont believe i never heard those tracks or at least verses from those tracks

The only solo album that Prodigy has the flat out stinks is HNIC3, and didn't like that Bumpy Johnson mixtape either. Is he not as lyrically inclined like he used to be? Of course not. But to say he completely fell off is pretty silly, as HNIC2, Return of The Mac, and even that Product of the 80's group side project were all very good. Prodigy and ALC beats are a perfect fit, and it wasnt just ALC carrying that album.

Prodigy still got it if he's motivated to try, for example this track. but i agree his recent stuff hasn't been too great.

I've been asking myself for a while now, what the hell happened to Prodigy's voice/flow?! It's almost as if it's a completely different person. :smh:

I know a person's voice changes with age but not like that. Young P's cadence and flow was so ill and now it's just gone. :smh:

looking forward to it... both of their last solo projects were very solid. can't wait to hear the unreleased tracks too.

& :wow:  at those ticket prices. i was thinking of going too, but i guess not any more

The infamous is in my top 3 and I refuse to pay that much to see these dudes. :smh:
My girl just bought me tickets to the illmatic 20th anniversary concert and they were not that much.
