Didn't catch the black soles, they definitely look wet like that. May paint them myself now. Originally wanted to just get the midsole done it didn't want to risk messing up the icy bottom.

I was thinking about selling them, but after looking at them I almost like them better than my concord lows.....still can't believe I just said that

So what's wrong with the "quality" of the concords? Just a black/white patent leather shoe. Hard to mess that up

I got 2 pairs.
One of them had a "wrinkly" patent leather and another had a glue mark? of some sort on the patent leather that wouldnt come off.

I dont agree completely.
We're paying 150+ for these, and I expect the quality to be top notch.
I still bought them and will keep them tho lol.

And there you have it LOL. I know there are mistakes with all shoes I just think that too many are making it through QC is all. We get B grades that have no problems and these that have some. I don't think that overall with everyone who got a pair that quality is bad.

Agreed with the 150+ price point It would be nice to have both i'm just saying if i had to choose, Design/Colorway > Fit > Quality. Would like to get everyones take on this but this isn't the thread for that lol

We had those in my corner of Canada in the late 90's, they ended up being scrapped as lawyers argued that it was an invasion of privacy. Initially you had to be 10 km over the speed limit to get a ticket, then they lowered it to 2 km over.
These snakeskins look a lot better in person than in pictures in my opinion.

I got all the XI mids released in 2000-2001 but slept on the red and blue lows. Huge mistake i've always regretted.

Concords are IMO a bit better on the feet and also will be in money value, if that matters to you, but close enough on both counts to be a fair trade.

Why not? Same retail cost and while these were slightly harder to cop for some I can't see any reason why an even trade isn't the way to go.

That's what I'm doing once my pair comes on Monday. Have a trade set up already. I still can't believe I struck out on concord lows, I entered 10 raffles and zero called back

I'd rather keep these snakeskins instead of the concord lows if I had to pick just one of the two. Maybe my opinion is biased since I still have a DS pair of concords (mids) from 2011.

Very jealous, and getting lucky and copping the Concords has not ameliorated my unhappiness with missing out on these. I have "slept on" many pairs of shoes over the years, but only with these did it happen literally. I was planning to get up and order them online, and overslept by 25 minutes.
Will probably never forget waking up and seeing my clock at 8:25, and knowing that any chance I had to cop was gone. Congratulations!
