I don´t know any inside business, don´t know how and if Yay has any rights to the Nike Yeezys or if Nike is salty that he left. Maybe they couldn´t care less. But IF they have the state of mind "we gonna show Adidas who´s the boss" then it would be easy for them to counter the adidas yeezi release with something big.. maybe a re-release of the yeezy 2, maybe a huge restock of popular Jordans or something.. it would definitely hurt Adidas sales and hype if it´s on the same day.
 
if nike releases yeezy 1 or 2 again on the same day ,it would be like saying yeezy won he is that influential that on the same day of his release with adidas we have to recycle the hype we created with him a few years ago and cant not come up with something more original to compete with that release.
 
But Nike gonna win because of $$$$$$$. If they retro the Yeezy, none of that money going in Kanyes pockets.

If it dropped the same day, I'm willing to bet Nike sell 2-3x more units than the Adidas Yeezi.

At the end of the day, regardless of hype, Kanye is a good designer. He's not brilliant like people make him out to be but he does know what he's doing
 
Kanye likes the dramatics so thats why I feel like there is no release. As far as adidas being scared on a Nike Yeezy release..... WHY? Let's be honest, we know, they know, and even old people know, the bots and resellers will be the only to benefit from those. Unless it was a huge random GR release the Nike yeezy would have little impact on stopping people from buying the adidas release.

I do believe Nike would make the Yeezys readily available. And if 11am on Black Friday came and dudes had the option to cop the Adidas or the Nike, 99% of dudes gunning for the nikes,

I would not be surprised if they put them on Nike ID tbh. There's too much money to be made and Nike knows it. Know is the time to do one final cash out on Kanye and move on.

There are a lot of things Nike could have cashed out on and left it alone. I believe this will be yet another.

Listen. Adidas have no fear of ANY other company.

If Nike has a great release weekend, that won't affect their sales enough that Adidas will start to lose a good amount of money.

So what if Nike has a better sellout weekend compared to Adidas, it's been happening to them all the time, what will be new?

They both will get money either way, they have nothing to lose.
 
I could care less what Nike has brewing up that weekend. I'm more focused on what these Adidas are going to look like and when they are actually coming out. Let's not steer this into a Nike vs Adidas thread now.
 
Kanye has zero rights to the yeezy 1/2 design.

It's just like when you start at a company. They make you sign a form that says that any patents, designs, etc created while working there belongs to them.

Even though Kanye designed the shoe, Nike owns the rights to the actual design.
 
How can Nike have a planned retaliation for these Adidas kanye sneakers when there isn't even a confirmed release date?

EVEN if these Adidas dropped Black Friday, black/infra 6's are gonna do insane numbers for Nike. Then the next month Columbia XI's that haven't seen a release in 13 years?? :x

If Adidas is smart they'd flood the market with these and apparel to match because the hype for them will only last a week before the next big Nike release
