My take:

I am a TTS 9 in all Jordan's.  8.5 in AF1's & Air Pythons.  I sized down 1 full to an 8 and they fit absolutely PERFECT.    A size 9 would be way too big for me. 

Personally, they're a nice shoe and even better in person.  However I don't feel they come close to being worth $1000 or even $700 for that matter.  I probably wouldn't pay more than $500 if I were you, but that's my opinion. 

Way more comfortable and lighter than I expected.

For the bigger guys get APC Petite new standard stretch denim, still a tapered look but the denim isnt rugged and stiff
