so this is quite shocking for me.....

after a quick wear of 4-5 hours i looked at the soles....well yes they were dirty of course....but at some points, the first layer of the material was worn off already!

as you can see here....on the long part under the boost window...and on the two smaller parts above the boost window....thats not dirt, thats the material coming off!!!
 
It's unreal Kanye was able to take a simple *** shoe and make it the must have of the century.  Literally this shoe would collect dust if Kanye's name wasn't attached to it.  Man is a legend in his own right.

Nike been doing it for years with Jordan.
 
just gonna sit on my front step (ignoring my work obligations, the chance to exercise or do stuff around the house) waiting for the UPS truck, then give the driver that "yo that's right just give it here and stop looking at my box" stare

But, there's nothing simple behind J's.  Those truly have meaning and to allot of people like myself were a huge part of my childhood.  

I mean honestly they don't really have a single unique quality other then a Kanye name backing.  These look like every other pair of woven/knit runners.  Sometimes I wonder if Kanye is just trolling to point at the fashion world and laugh that he can do this just with his name.  I mean there really is no one else that can do this not even Mike.  Mike's retros sell but, that's where it stops for the most part at least on a must have scale.

I can't knock the man cause it's unreal that people going this nuts for a simple *** shoe ONLY cause his name.

I understand where your coming from i grew up in Jordan's prime as well. But be honest with yourself half the stuff that Jordan brand releases wouldn't sell if it didn't say "Jordan"

Of course but, like I said unless it's a retro it really doesn't sell like that.  I mean Kanye blew up the Jordan 1.  He could honestly go throw on a pair of random sandals and that company better start pumping out sandals cause demand is there lol.

I agree with @geePlus

Even though they are sitting right now, these horrible 5s will eventually sell out for no other reason than the fact that they are Jordan 5s.

While the model is popular the colorway holds no historic value.  It was something cooked up by someone at nike after what must have been an acid trip.

Jordan sells more team jordan shoes than they do retros, simply because of how limited retros are in comparison.  While everybody on NT would cringe at buying team jordans, the majority of the purchasing public don't care and still considers them "Jordans".

If Mike is allowed to sell people this then why do people want to hold Kanye to some ridiculous standard.

If you don't like them, you don't like them but you have to acknowledge its been happening way before kanye released any shoes.
 
LVR just shipped out my 2nd order lol after my 1st was cancelled.  I'm blown away.  I didn't think there was a chance in hell after all the cancellations yesterday. They must of done a raffle with all the confirmed order ha.  Just looked at my phone and got the notification from UPS my choice.

I've always been tight about the limitedness of yeezys.

for the record I copped the LVs and Y1s on release day.

but after seeing a more widespread release and how a yeezy cop makes some (a lot of) people act, I hope they never make a wider available yeezy again.
