Because chicks genuinely view sneakers as childish or too casual for the environments they typically get wet around (clubs and bars).
this

my friend said to me just recently that she auto DQ'd a dude cause he wore sneakers to their first date... her rationale : sneakers no matter the type, are not first date appropriate... she said  "  i brought my A game, he didnt"  I was like

She did him a favor, no dude needs to be with a chick that uptight about life.

You can't make generalizations on people based on an article of clothing.

Ultraboosts fit tight.

When I go TTS with the ultraboosts it's snug/tight all around and i have no heel slippage but there's too much of a gap (3/4 of an inch) between the front of my toes to the end of the shoe. Now that's fine for shoes that I go running with, but I paid $300 for mine and I only wear them to look cool. But if you're paying retail and using them for running, I'd suggest going a half size up, otherwise you'll find your feet being constricted inside nicki minaj's buttcrack.
Did I read it right? When you went TTS the shoe has that much toe room (3/4 of an inch) already? So how much extra toe room did you have when you went .5 size up?

yeah I was going to say depending on where and what the date was. Can't be mad at a dude for wearing sneakers if all you wanted to do was get some wings.

If it was a super casual date nothing fancy then sneakers would be fine. But if it was to go out for dinner then sneakers are a no go.

This is exactly what I was saying. Some people spend the majority of their week in suits, ties, and dress shoes so I understand them not wanting to throw the same clothes on in their leisure time.

so I decided to text my friend to get more details.. guess the dude was kind of a dork... it was not only the sneakers but his Captain America T-shirt that really turned her off apparently. .

Not sure if im saying this in the right thread, but does anybody know how Ultra Boosts fit compared to the Yeezy 350? I'm a size 8 in the 350 and they fit perfect with a little room in the front for my toes

UltraBoosts fit snug when TTS and I recommend 0.5 size up. I wear size 46 / 12 in most sneakers, I have a wider foot, usually 12 in Nike, 11.5 in Adidas and 11 in Tubulars, wear 45 in designer sneakers like SLP and 44 in Arenas, YZY 350 and UltraBoost in 12.

YZY 350s in 12 they fit great, just the right amount of toe space for me. I like a fingers width in the toe box, I don't like my toes touching the end of the shoe and can't deal with the width of my foot being cramped. UltraBoost in 11.5 seemed to have enough length in the store but after a few wears I found that toes catch on the inner toe guard at the very front of the shoe (oddly enough this happened when I tried on Tubulars in 11.5). Either your toes need to be far enough back to never hit the guard, or be forward past the guard, in the UB that would mean an 11 and my toes would be jammed all the way to the front, no thanks. Also the prime knit upper on the UB 11.5 fit a bit too tight for my liking. The fabric really stretches and the holes in the weave open up and you can see my socks. With size 12 the upper was more comfortable and the socks were less visible... I have a OG colorway pair of UB 11.5 if anyone is interested.

We need an entire thread on sizing. So many people with questions and not enough specific information..

Things that would need to be considered in the thread

-Overall estimate size of the shoe. TTS? 0.5 too big?

-Measurements of the length and width of the shoe and insole for each size.

-With seasons changing so does the sizing. Does it run larger this season? Smaller?

It would also help to have updated information at the beginning of the thread so people don't have to spend so much time looking how a particular shoe/size fits.

What do you guys think?

One dude says he went TTS and they fit perfect and in my mind there's no way on earth that's possible. I have zero tolerance for shoes that fit big and these would drive me insane if I got them TTS. Maybe he can handle or even prefers much more room in his shoes than I can.

The problem is that sizing is subjective. I'd say the only thing that would work would be taking the measurements but it's so cumbersome that many wouldn't do it. The most likely scenario is that people are going to see what the overall response is on sizing and make a move from there but as far as a concrete and 100% reliable solution I just don't see it.
