I was one of the first people to call out "Yoshe!!!" when I first saw the yeezy 350 boost. Discovered that's a horrible association... The Roshe is not even close, even flyknit equipped - which has not been flattering for that model imho...

When I compare the Roshe and 350 in-hand; its very easy to see the bargain-beach-shoe formula in the Roshe and the quasi-ruggedized high fashion formula in the 350.  Then there's the full length boost sole which allows the 350 to run away from the roshe in the technology and comfort design department.  It really is two different worlds.

I then stumbled across a lunar flyknit chukka I picked up from a boutique in summer 2013 with a $170 MSRP. Everything clicked... Many traditional shoe stores display/sell moccasins and chukkas in the same style section. The 350 boost is priced just right - zero gouging.  The lunar chukka offers a much closer relation/purpose/class to the 350 vs. any Roshe including the natural motion stuff... See below and please do share your thoughts.

Lunar Flyknit Chukka / Yeezy 350 Boost

MSRP: $170 Summer 2013 / $200 Summer 2015

Style: Chukka / Moccasin

Upper: Flyknit / Primeknit

Premium Materials: Leather, interior heel cup / Leather, medial side

Midsole Comfort Tech: Full Length Lunarlon / Full Length Boost
Can you post a side by side pic of the PB's with a Roshe (preferably OG mesh) of the same size?

the nike yeezys weren't designed by kanye. he picked colors a la nikeid or ronnie fieg. but he did not design them.

I might be able to tomorrow... I actually have a pair of the midnight fogs (charcoal) from the safari pack. og mesh on the toe and premium leather.  Fair warning, its gruesome.....

Not that I care because I'm a firm believer of working hard and playing hard(er) but kanye is pulling the wool over our eyes with these. These are no different and less better looking the Nike Roshe or Kaishi. I had to son a fucc boi the other night who was wearing these. I was clowning them and he told me I was too broke to afford em that's why I had to make fun of em. The next day we're on an outing with friends and he has them on black 350 boost again and I'm wearing my solar 2's. Dude was on my jock so hard like the sneaker herb he is. Was overtly rude to him the whole night and I've never really spoken about sneakers with him like that. That's the second time my solars have sonned someone.

The moral of this story is, Adidas yeezy's are less creative than their Nike counterpart and are adding on to this snobbish elitist culture of sneaker buying. These shoes should have the same price point as a ****** roshe run. Kanye is losing it.
well, same thing could be said about the Nike Yeezys. They were 250 retail but had the same outdated tech and matter of fact exact same tooling as the Tech Challenge 2s from 1989 (I think). Nothing about that shoe was particularly new at this time, it was a cool remix of some sneakers already existing. So why not price these at 150?

At the end we all pay extra for names. Be it Michael Jordan or Kanye West.

Murdering the English language and the sneaker game since 1992! Hilarious post, bro. Don't ever change.

I don't like he went about it but I definitely get what he's saying. Not that roshes are a better shoe in terms of construction and tech use. But that these essentially fulfill the same purpose as roshes do in terms of aesthetics, prime knit and boost tech aside. The same "look" can be achieved with sa similar looking Roshe, or any other shoe in the same category for that matter. In that context I agree, they're not special. The argument can be made that the boosts are more comfortable, and they are, but I'm certain that 95% of the cats in here didn't buy these shoes for comfort.

Lets be honest now, the 95% of us that did get the TD and the PB did not buy these for comfort (they are really comfortable tho lol..) We bought it to show it off or to easily re-sell it...THE 5% that did not get it, are the people that wish they have gotten a pair and have the SAME exact reason why they want the shoe like the people that got it. It's either people wanted  to wear it OR you people wanted it to resell..

I want these for th same reason I wanted sock darts, for the same reason I wanted Huarache NMs, and for the same Reason I wanted Prestos. 1st cause of comfort second because I like the way they look. Period

I don't want to jinx it just yet but I found a fellow NTer whose willing to swap their size 5 for one of my spare size 8.5 PB. No extra cash on top, just I pay for the middleman fees.
