if you ordered from Sneakerboy, you're going to have the rudest awakening when you get hit with that customs fee.

oh its going to be MEAN

on 600 it can be like 200+ in custom fees lol

thats why I won't be trying to order from end or sns. I get hit with a $30-$50 customs fee when I go a little over $200 on the total. Imagine $600-$800 order total. You might as well have paid a US reseller.

I hope all the resellers snag up those international purchases. Gonna be rough for them to pay the bills when they have to sit on a purchase as high as this.

honestly

i REALLY hope people who just wanted them to wear scored

because any reseller who grabbed any is a moron

pairs are sitting on ebay 700-1000 range right now and are NOT moving

mind you after customs off sneakerboy the shoe will cost them 800+

you literally lose money instantly if you plan to resell lol

Not that I've purchased the 950's or will but in terms of customs, do you guys usually get hit with customs fee's when you have items shipped to your private residence? I've ordered mulitple high dollar items from outside of the United States and never been hit with customs.

^^^ those are the 950's. Can't you see the photoshop?

exactly lol. Honestly I only have ONE pair, either the Pirate Black or the Moonrock. And it has to be retail. I'm not trying to ring up $1300 on my visa for 2 pairs of duck boots. The only one pair I get will be heavily worn in NYC snow. Leaving any extra money I have for November for course.

The NYC snow is the reason I want the 950s but idk if I wanna spend $580+ for some boots that might look like trash on me.

it depends on a few things

1.. the price/value

if its exceeds $200 you are in the range to get hit with a customs charge

now sometimes u can sneak by though kinda luck of the draw

2.. did the merchant honestly list the value of the item?

some merchants know the deal and will declare a value under 200 to avoid the customer getting hit with fees but they have been cracking down on this

3.. shipping service used

DHL tends to slip by all the time with no fees for the most part but most places dont or will not use the service

only draw back ive noticed is it takes longer to clear customs with DHL

i recently had a painting shipped from france via DHL and it sat in customs for like 11-12 days before it got cleared

but if they are using UPS or FEDEX they will ring your bell like "customs fee due is the following" and wait for you to cut a check or no package for you ya can get a check/money order and pick it up from the main hub

also SOMETIMES if its euro and they use royalmail which tends to get kickeddown to USPS at times u can dodge the bullet

just a lot of factors

^^ also  just to add to that, sometimes you don't get hit with the customs fee at the door. But theres a chance that UPS or FedEx will mail you an invoice for the customs/duty fee. So always prepare for a chance of having to pay customs fee if you order over $200.

for me, I honestly don't give a F what people think. Not really wearing these for a fashion sense like troyd. When its a **** snow storm outside, nobody's gonna care whats on your feet when you gotta walk 3 blocks to your car in 2 feet snow.

Lmao I feel you, I buy stuff for myself but I've seen some on feet pics on someone with similar body measurements to me and it didn't look right. Idc what others think just care about my opinion.

crosswalk corners are the worse in nyc snow storms

just a corner of slush dirt snow and random street sludge

lol

@vampire xtc

Have you ever been hit with customs on any of your coarse pieces? I'm not exactly sure how coarse values their pieces but I've never been hit with customs from my coarse orders.

Lol, but are they actually waterproof is the question. By appearance they look like you could cross a river in them and your feet would be dry. Would be f'd up to buy these for winter and get all that snow slush on your feet.

no but i havent purchased a coarse piece in some time

i use to sweat bullets with them because it ALWAYS sat in customs for a long time

i purchased pain in dreams which was a HUGE piece and if i recall was like 700 and sat in customs like 20 some odd days

didnt get hit with anything but they used EMS since it was coming from japan which gets kicked to USPS and like royal mail u can normally sneak by

i have been hit with customs from caliroots and end before though forget which shoes exactly but both were 250-270 range for sure

i know 1 was like 35 bucks and the other was like 98

this was a few years back though wanna say the 98 was uhh like 1-2 years ago

actually i recall now it was the sabotage new balances where i got hit with the high custom charge of 98

i didnt mind because it was the only place i could find a 12(fits like a 13) so i said the hell with it lol

if i'm not mistaken, these will release on ADC tomorrow. Who by the way will have the most amount of stock compared to these little independent shops.

the worst

especially when it looks just like ice, so that's what you think it is

so you step "on" it

and it ends up being that slushy stuff

so you step "in" it
