It varies person to person. My sz 11 TD has yet to rub my ankles and i wear no-show socks every time. But it has been stated numerous times, one NTer even had cuts on his ankles from the 350s.

I believe so, but much more people wanted Pirate Blacks, so (IMO) Pirate Blacks were a much harder cop than Turtle Doves.

Picked these up few weeks back 3 pack for 6$ the rubber on the heel keeps them pretty secure, i know Stance makes a pair like these as well.
