When will people understand this? Boggles my mind that people are still hoping for the day they sit on shelves
it all depends on what they mean by "mass produced" if that source is correct. if they enter continuous production like air force ones everyone will have a chance to eat. if not itll be the same story over and over. cause as long as their is a finite amount of pairs people will cop 5,6,7 pairs if they have the opportunity to just to flip. we see it here all the time

Very well put. I think that the continuous production point is the most important piece

yeah, theyre are some shoes that adidas makes all year round which they can definitely do with these but in my opinion, with limited insight of course, that will kill the lines long term success. at the rate theyre going now, by only satisfying a small fraction of the demand they can guarantee that every chunk of releases will sell out and and they can continue release pairs color way by colorway for an indefinite amount at a time. saturating the marker all at once may kill the hype all together. 100,000 pairs over 10 years may be more profitable than 100,000 pairs in one short period. But again, this is all based on my limited knowledge.

I've always viewed the "limited" sneakers as such:

A majority of the company's sales comes from the average consumer. $50 sneakers that you can buy by waking into the store. $200 limited shoes are what gives the company that "desirable" name. The consumer level sneakers are what drives sales.

absolutely. the shoes that companies unload in huge volumes is where the money is made. the "every mans" shoe is where the money is at.

Exactly.

IDK why people don't understand this.

Of course Adidas is making money from Kanye and his sneakers, but its such a significantly small fraction of their profit, that they can afford to produce small amounts and sell for a premium.

DO NOT expect any of these future releases to be widely available. Not everyone will own one, just accept that fact. Trust me, you wouldn't care this much if everyone had them.

Stop making bad generalizations.

1st: even if they just continued production the way they have been with the TD's and PB's, and release 7 pairs a year like they are this year, everyone will own a pair eventually........

2nd There are people on this thread who arent hypebeasts, and would wear and buy the shoe even if everyone had them.

I was considering passing on the 950s but I do need some boots, any idea what the retail is going to be? I think I saw 595 on this thread is that true?

$585. About $637 after tax give or take depending on your tax rates.

The boots would be dope if they weren't so platform like.  I think I will skip those and find me a pair of 750s instead.

Quoted for future disappointment

I gotta say that these are surprisingly comfortable and don't mind the retail price of them. Worth it IMO and look forward to the future releases. Would love to get a second pair just in case the fabric doesn't hold up to daily wear but can't bring myself up to paying resell prices. Looking forward to cook in October!
