Why did he do the same silhouette again, I've yet to get a sense of who he is as a designer. I don't personally like his designs or ideas in the fashion world but I'm trying to look at it neutrally. All i see is a hue shift and  rips tears and rick owens etc like last time.

Also I was expecting him to not release more colors but more models of shoes, but if anything we know to go opposite of what he says. He said the multiple colors of the same shoe thing was lame, so expect a rainbow of 750's and 350's.

Even worse, last time adidas was helping him move the awfully priced clothing.

What's he going to do now? I don't think any buyers are looking for 4000 dollar pieces to hang on their shelves 2 seasons from now. Especially since this is S/S2016 collections.
He never said he was a designer. In fact, he made it emphatically clear that he's just trying to bring high fashion to the masses like H&M and Zara. I think he's probably still either struggling with Adidas, or struggling to find materials that will be comparable in quality and still be inexpensive.

As for his shoes, I wouldn't expect him to come up with a new silhouette this quickly. You don't put R&D into a design just to scrap it after one run. Especially since he wants every one to have his shoes. If he didn't bring back the silhouette, it would be entirely against what he set out to do, which was not to make everything so exclusive.

Not if they continue to be super limited (I refuse to pay resale). Maybe they will release them in a GR cw next year, after the hypebeasts all have pairs.
Apparently the beluga blue and silver grey colorways are supposed to be produced in larger numbers compared to TDs/PBs. Lets see how it plays out though

Im still lost on what the new colors are due to the lighting.

On Adidas IG it clearly looks like a Black pair and a lighter brown pair, hell even a grey pair lol..We know lighting changes things tho.

From what I saw at the SJ showing, it was just two colors. An adobe and the black/or dark brown pair.

Yeah honestly it makes sense to release more 350s.. They are a good price point and were much better recieved than the 750s (which could remain super limited for all I care). Also, 350s probably aren't too expensive to manufacture so that would make sense.

I down for the chocolate 750s and the 950 boost but those Jedi academy, neo from zion, mad max enter the thunder dome, blade runner type steez aint whats hot in the streets. actually I'm lying it is. This hobo that i give change to had this look all summer. With scuffed jordans and used timbs and all. Those clothes are trash. Plus he only makes stuff for skinny ****** anyway. Just give me the sneakers and shoes and keep the rest...

Except his collection is explicitly the opposite of every single other artist/designer/whatever we decide to call it here, whose made an affordable line with a company. His collection has had pieces that rivaled some of the most expensive in the industry.

It's not a small difference between a 2000 dollar sweater and a 50 dollar one at H&M/ Zara. They already bring high fashion to the masses, more effectively. They are the leading brands in fast fashion. He's not trying to do fast fashion. You don't just go one grade of suede down and go up 1950 dollars. That's not trouble with adidas that missing the mark by a ton. Every other brand and high end line thats fallen into streetwear including SLP and rick owens, is cheaper then that.

When going for masses you don't go well, they don't have the virgin pubic hair, I'll take the alpaca thats been raised on a deserted island as an alternative.

He's also said in the past year or so that he made, I think it was 20-40 shoes with adidas already? I don't think he just meant prototypes of these 3 shoes.

Lol, all designers only make clothing for skinny people. I've never seen any upscale designers make anything for plus sized people.

Yeah, if I remember correctly, he even had to fight with Nike to release ROs (which they eventually did AFTER he left). Hopefully, making the 350s and 750s initially veey limited was just to build up hype for the line.

A GR cw of the 350s would be a dream come true.

Lol, I agree his **** was stupidly expensive. I honestly don't know what his struggle is, or if he's just lying to save face. I don't think people are that down to buy what he's offering at those prices. And, I'm not going to argue with you on any accounts of the collaborative collections that those high end designers have already done, because I agree.

But anyway, the shoes are the only stuff I care about. And, even if that's the case, they'll probably at least just milk what's here first, before moving onto the next designs.

Lets see if we get the 750 released again with the new colorway's. What confuses me is why make so limited when he is getting royalty.

Streetwear operates on exclusivity, and his line in spirit, admitted or not, is influenced entirely by it.

If those 350s had both colors released at once in your zumiez, your footlocker, adidas and bloomingdales, in multiple fullsize runs with even monthly restocks, they wouldn't have the same appeal.

If those 750s weren't only being released in a stated small number in major cities, wheres the hype.

With his music catalog and kims status as a professional celebrity, they aren't so concerned about money anyhow end of the day.

That adidas doing apparently. Which I don't understand. I don't get why this line isn't like the rick owens or the Y-3 line where they just keep producing more kicks through out the year. Those Y-3 are more expensive and the rick owens joints are even more expensive and they are EVERYWHERE meaning BARNEYS, KITH, NEIMAN MARCUS and other high fashion retailers. Adidas wants the mystique of what he did with Nike but they lack the market share. They want Kanye to help sell the boost technology but they make his shoes which feature SAID TECHNOLOGY and make them limited. Yes Ye is rocking the ultra boost (which are GREAT SNEAKERS by the way) but people only cop the EXACT color way he is seen in and the rest sit. So dunno what the marketing strategy is. And the clothes, going for thousands? REALLY?

If thats the case, why make this whole campaign about nike holding him back from having his sneakers next to lebrons in footlocker. Why make this whole "I'm a rebel and revolutionary in fashion but they holding me back" speal all last summer. Why sell people on the fact that these will be more widely available when in fact, this the same **** with nike ALL OVER AGAIN? He opened his mouth and said he would make his line more affordable and available for folks. He didn't want folks to pay thousands on eBay for kicks.. HE SAID THAT **** MULTIPLE TIMES.

Everyone keeps footing it on adidas, but I'm suspicious of that.

The owens, y-3, AND simons lines are all more easily available (the ozweego etc) all 3 have gained serious traction lately yet still are hyped, still sell out, get restocked, and even have models go on clearance each season.

I'm really having a hard time putting on my poor kanye shades here when it comes to that.

The boost technology is all over, from adidas own high end outside of kanye down to their outlets.

There's one common element, you have nike a mega-house thats dominating sportwear

you have adidas, who's struggling and needs to do anything to not just keep reputation up but sales, and has successfully upkept relations with 3(more for sure, but lets use these 3) high end designers with more affordable collaborations.

Then you have mr west.

piecemeal  maybe his line would look better. but as combined into what he was showing in the show, the intended look of the outfits is straight up horrible. im sure nike allowed him to come to them with ideas but when he hit them with this garbage and then through a fit because they we're down with it I can see why Nike didnt want to give him any creative control
