what he's saying is that every one is expecting the retail to be $200, so they have $200+ some change for tax set aside. If adidas without warning bumped up the price, some people might not be able to check out because they don't have enough funds in their account at that moment. It happened to somebody on NT for a pair of shoes. He didn't calculate for tax or shipping and the total was more than he had in his account and by the time he added more funds, the shoes were gone.

Are people really asking how much a pair will cost with tax? Google your state tax and add that to $200. Y-3 also charges $5 for shipping IIRC.

Lots of people only have $250 on their card for retail+tax+shipping. Everyone expected 950s to go for retail. For example, if 950s were expected to retail at $400, lots would miss out on those due to not enough funds.
