its the mystique of the "yeezy" brand. extremely limited coveted sneakers that fetch top dollar on the market. and this our fault. the resellers set crazy prices and people go out and pay.

My boy already checked out an 11.5 on Sneaker Politics and got cancelled

The long and short of it is that Adidas is a lame in the grand scheme of things. Now (because the lame actually has something we want for once) we have to deal with this lame and his corny tactics. Adidas, just give us the shoes so we can go back to the cool section; and you can go back to drooling on you shirt in dorkville, lusting over cheerleaders that obviously don't want you.

Makes sense for him but not Adidas. Once he leaves he doesn't benefit their brand or advance their own line. I guess they are just desperste for sales...but then they go limit stuff. Go figure
he already said where he wants to go, zara h&m route, thats his end game, he will use adidas and their $ to start, once he kills it which unless he starts putting out dresses for men, he will, he will go out on his own and be just fine leaving adidas in the dust and back into obscurity. this won't happen quick it might take a few years

GREAT ANALOGY. they weren't and won't ever be ready unless they learn to become cool

Which is why limited stuff makes no sense. They should milk this not limit it. They have nothing to gain In the long run.

@mikeyfabs  spittin truth lol. Adidas is def just being used for their resources and they know it. They will let Kanye design what he wants, at the expense of being able to control their own product launches. Kanye doesnt have the capital to invest in his own factory contracts, or materials. It's what he wanted to do with Nike, but what 50 BILLION dollar athletic wear company is gonna allow a rapper turned designer to start his own line of fashion wear. All I know is that if he wants to continue doing sneakers, hes gonna have to keep collaborating with known sneaker manufacturers.

I think he wants to go Zara h&m route via adidas. Not on his own. That's pending things continue to go well or he doesn't get a head design job at GAP

The end result of teaming up for sneakers isn't a bad thing. Most high end sneakers have really nice and expensive materials but they aren't comfortable. The boost imo is a good compromise between fashion sneaker / materials and comfort. That the main reason I want it, not because it's a yeezy.

i have gucci and louboutin sneakers and they are both SO uncomfortable

Kanye's sneakers aren't going to give adidas bottom line a bump (at all). Nike's market cap is 4X adidas' and they aren't going to make up the gap by selling Kanye's shoes to a bunch of hypebeasts.

If adidas had indeed handled this release well and created an excess of pairs, are people going to switch allegiances and start buying adidas everything? Hell no.

They're doing an incredible job building hype around this release. I've been on NT a long, long time now and there's never been an adidas thread like this before. My friends who are 30+ and not into sneakers at all have heard about the adidas Yeezy Boosts (and still have no idea what the Red Octobers/Solars etc. are).

Manufacturing and releasing a large amount of Yeezy Boosts doesn't make adidas as much money as keeping the supply low and keeping kids thirsty. It's a long run game. Sorry you didn't get your shoes but adidas is playing this perfectly

I don't see Kanye doing them much good once he leaves. As you mentioned people aren't going to switch. So what's in it for them?

they are brought to the cool table automatically but they can't focus on kanye they should be pumping out stuff now thats NOT ASSOCIATED with kanye that people would want. KANYE DOESNT EVEN WEAR ANYTHING FROM THEM!!!!! at least when he was with nike you caught him in bred 1's flyknits and air maxes

..why are so many people talking about Adidas like it's some down-in-the-dumps company. We're talking about the third biggest sports brand in the world, a top 100 company. Lol. Dude's acting like Adidas is clinging onto pennies rn.

Damn these are really nice in person, the quality is way better than I was expecting.

With the boost I thought they'd be light and flimsy, but it's the opposite, they've heavy and durable.
